Expert tips for winning TikTok & Instagram content

Ready to take your social videos to the next level? Take a look at these top tips to get the brand’s attention.

1: Make your content short and snappy ✂

Short and snappy TikToks (0:30 seconds) are some of the most popular out there. What does this mean for you? Cut out parts of the video that are not essential (i.e. fiddling with packaging or setting up the camera or changing positions, etc) and only include the best bits.

2: Use editing apps 📱

Consider using editing apps like Canva, InShot or CapCut. Play with their templates or merge multiple videos and cut out unnecessary parts.

But remember, don’t go overboard with transitions and filters – less is more here and filters can alter the results and disguise the packaging (which makes it less recognisable).

3: Record multiple shots 🎥

Channel your inner Hollywood director and play with angles, POVs, close ups and shot length. This will make your video more interesting and dynamic.

4: Make your content a loop 🔄

How much do you know about TikTok algorithms? For a video to go viral, the stats matter. For instance, if people watch your whole video (or watch it more than once), your video will be ranked better. One way to improve your ranking is by creating a content loop. How?

  • Cut your first clip in half
  • Grab the start of it and put that at the end
  • When the video ends it will go back to beginning and loop

5 Analyse Your Performance 📈

How often do you use TikTok's analytics to track your performance? It’s how top content creators work out which posts their followers like to see. The data can provide valuable insights into what your followers and viewers like, what works and what doesn’t.

If you’ve only been using Instagram and were waiting for a sign to start posting on TikTok, consider this it. TikTok works differently to Instagram, and you can make a splash with a great video even if you don’t have many followers. So go ahead and share your first video and see what happens ;)

It helps with dryness and improves thickness. Makes hair more manageable and uniform like a hairspray would but without the stickiness and no need to wash out as it smells lovely.
