We’re giving away £50 Amazon vouchers* to 10 super creative savvy circlers from each team who share gorge videos! Want to stand out? Here are some top tips to help you create amazing videos:
-
Clean Your Camera Lens
Give your camera lens a quick wipe before you start. This ensures your video is crisp and clear – no smudges allowed!
-
Record in Vertical Format
Always shoot in vertical format for TikTok and Instagram Reels. It’s the best way to make your videos look fab and fit the platform perfectly.
-
Start with a Hook
First impressions are everything! Grab attention in the first few seconds with a bold statement, an intriguing question, or a stunning visual. Check the project handbook for examples.
-
Get Everything in the Shot
Make sure you and the product are both in the frame.
-
Ensure Good Lighting
Brighten up your video with good lighting. Use a ring light if you have one, or set up some lamps to keep your video well-lit and vibrant.
-
Appear on the Video
We want to see YOU! Show yourself using the PODs® in a real-life situation.
-
Arrange the Scene
Find a clean background for your video. Keep it simple and clutter-free (no other brands sneaking in the shot!).
-
Keep It Short and Sweet
Make your video minimum 15 seconds but no longer than 45 seconds. Quick, snappy content is more engaging and perfect for TikTok and Instagram Reels.
-
Stay Natural
Avoid using FaceApp or face filters. Authenticity is key, and we want to see the real you!
-
Save your raw files
Save your video in high resolution before uploading it to TikTok or Instagram. Once it's posted, you won't be able to download the original file without watermarks or music.
-
Record multiple shots
Channel your inner Hollywood director and play with angles, POVs, close ups and shot length. This will make your video more interesting and dynamic.
-
Use editing apps
Consider using editing apps like Canva, InShot or CapCut. Play with their templates or merge multiple videos and cut out unnecessary parts. But remember, don’t go overboard with transitions and filters – less is more here and filters can alter the results and disguise the packaging (which makes it less recognizable).
-
Stay in the safe zone
Keep your text and logos towards the centre of the frame when filming. That way, nothing gets cropped out when you upload to TikTok or Instagram, and everyone can see the most important elements of your content, no matter what type of device they have.
