Top tips for social shares

The basics

Before you snap a single shot or press record on a video, carry out these basics:👇🏼

1. Clean your camera lenses – you’d be surprised how mucky your phone can get 😊
2. Neaten the background, tuck away any other brands and ensure the area at the back of your shot is clean and clear.
3. Use good natural lighting – natural daylight (with the light coming from behind your Fairy Outdoorable shot is great.🌞
4. Most phone cameras autofocus, but check that your image is crisp before you post.

The still images 📸

Some people swear only videos grab people’s attention these days but we’re not so sure! If your pics are bright and interesting, then we still think they can shine! Consider doing some of the following to boost your still photos:

• Captivating Carousels: We love carousels of images and can’t wait to see yours. Not sure what to include? Think stylish flat lays, colour co-ordinating laundry and include your VIP box from your starter kit too
• Fairy in the clouds: Get arty with your shot and take your Fairy Outdoorable bottle outside. Angle your camera so it tilts upwards and shoot your Fairy Outdoorable surrounded by clouds or sunshine
• Smiley selfies: We always love to see your happy smiling selfies with your Fairy Outdoorable bottle (especially if you’re handing out leaflets to pals as you do it)
• Colour match: Try matching your laundry with your Fairy Outdoorable bottle

As a side note, please don’t use any filters. You don’t need them, you’re perfect exactly as you are!

The videos 🎬

Okay, so we love stills and carousels but videos do tend to get better engagement. Consider the following tips for the best social videos:

• For Instagram Reels and TikTok, record in vertical format
• Focus on your Fairy Outdoorable and show the bottle in the first 3 seconds of the video. Then let your followers know how you use it
• Edit your video – cut out parts with unnecessary movement or any parts that drag
• Trends: Social media is all about trends, especially TikTok! Use your favourite trending sound or the latest laundry trends and have fun re-creating the videos with Lenor. Why not try creating: A stop motion video, your very own ASMR video or matching your laundry with the Fairy Outdoorable bottle
