I went into my local Boots with one of the vouchers to get a free pack of the always maximum protection incontinence pants for my elderly mother in law instead of her having to go herself. But Boots would not accept the voucher as apparently because and I quote "companies like Proctor & Gamble don't reimburse Boots as they should". So will not be able to hand out the vouchers as I would not like anyone else being put in the same position at the tills as myself.

Recieved yesterday. Went to put on today and they were huge on me. I'm 16-18 ang got large. Thses state 16-28 . They were so big on me I couldn't walk properly and would of leaked. Has anyone had problems with tescos taking the coupon.

Went to use the vouchers at Boots today told do not except them even if the voucher has Boots only on them so can not test product and write a review till this problem with vouchers is sorted would not hand them out vouchers to friends and family for them to be embarrassed at the checkout

Delighted to receive my parcel yesterday! Only got the email today so opened in front of my 24 year old son as didn’t know what the parcel was! Put the first pair on today, got medium (I’m a 14-16), first impressions are they are much bigger and bulkier than the usual Always discreet inço pants I have bought before. But good absorbency so far.

Thank you for accepting me on this trial. I may be a man, but I still have bladder problems, and to be accepted like this means a lot to me as it feels like I'm being taken seriously.
I've just got home to find my box of pants. I look forward to trying them from tomorrow morning. In the meantime I've been trying trying to work out as to who I should give the vouchers to. There is another man I know who I have been suspecting, but not 100% sure about. We have had odd conversations that touch on the subject with references to how astronauts use adult nappies whilst waiting on the launch pad, and how useful they must be. I will see how the conversation goes tomorrow. That could be interesting!

Unfortunately boots won't accept the vouchers for the extra packs I gave the vouchers to friends and when they were denied use of the voucher it was embarrassing for them and for me. Hopefully tesco won't be the same

Received mine yesterday and wore a pair during a long 13 hour shift.
Feel a bit bulky, but like the scent.
Have a tendency to ride up at the top of my legs but they are very absorbent.
The coupons were snapped up by both my menopausal and pregnant colleagues with great delight.
Only gripe was that you can only exchange them at Boots.

Have tried the pants on and they fit very securely and are exceptionally comfy for an incontinence product. They also appear to keep you dry when needed and I feel very confident wearing them. At the moment I am very satisfied with the Always Discreet Maximum Protection pants but will monitor the situation as I get through the 8 in the packet.

I got them yesterday and was looking forward to trying them out today but I had a massive problem I am a size 16 so had to order Large and it 16-24 well they are more like a size 24 they are massive on me the sizing or so not right I could not use it I could hardly walk and if I did leak I would be wet because of the huge gaps the top part came past my boobs so no way would these fit someone at size 16 unfortunately not good and you do say be honest.

I gave two of my friends coupons and they could not use them at boots for some reason they are saying they don't accept the coupons which my friends found to be very embarrassing when there was a queue of people behind them, and they are stood with of packet of always descreet maximum protection pants.

So I opened my pack of pants this morning and was pleasantly surprised. They look big enough to fit me, I can see that they are soft and should therefore be comfortable, and there seems to be more absorbent material on these than on some that I have used in the past. At this point I was looking forward to trying them on.

After a shower, the first wear of my new pants.
First things first, which way around do they go? With normal underwear it is usually wider at the back, ( apart from thongs of course, ) and with Y fronts there is a dead give away, but I didn't feel that it was obvious with these. There are no actual instructions on the package, although there is a picture which includes the blue lines on the waist band at the back. Whilst I was able to see this, I do wonder about people with less good eye sight. My Mum would struggle with this while my Gran would totally miss it although.

Once I had put my pants on, I did wonder if they were on the right way around and did try both ways. I get it that it's the position of the absorbent pads that is important here, but as there seems to be plenty of this, will that actually make any difference? A little experiment to try sometime in the week.

Then there is the comfort, and there is plenty of that. Surprisingly better than I expected.
Amongst things, I am a cyclist. And one of the conversations I have had with many other cyclists is about the clothes we all wear. Cycling shorts are often padded and therefore a little bulky. I often hear people say that wearing cycling shorts is just like wearing a nappy, and this is from people who have never worn incontinence pants. Just how they can tell I will never know! Yet the strange thing is, they are slightly right.
Being used to cycle shorts means that I can easily make a comparison and I found them easy to wear. However even if I had never worn cycling shorts before, I would still find these easy to wear, even if it takes some time getting used to them.
Mind you I must remember that they are not cycling shorts and that if I do go out on my bike, then I must wear the right clothes. I would look very silly going down the road wearing just these!

I thought that I should quickly add, after reading some of the other posts about the vouchers, I have been to Boots to try using one to see what happens. I was rejected.
I used a self service till and the assistant could see that I was having problems, which lets be honest is usually the way with those things. He kindly did his bit and entered in whatever code he needed to enter and I was able to walk away with a pack of pants which I shall pass on to a friend, rather than cause them problems with the voucher. I will try this with the other 4 vouchers as well. I just hope I don't get the same person who was working there today. That could be a bit weird!

Over the next couple of days I will be trying to use one of the coupons again at a different Boots to my local one who said they could not accept it. I want to try again before giving any to my family and friends. I may use the coupons myself if I find a Boots that take them and then hand out the packs of pants to my family and friends instead.

I love the other another Always pants, and when I received these I was super happy and they fitted perfectly. But unfortunately as they are scented I immediately had a reaction to them, so I have passed them on to a family member.

I could tell the absorption would be amazing if they fitted. Already handed my vouchers to friends, I hope they don’t get told no to the vouchers by boots

Got my pack and have tried my 1st pair last night, agree with other testers that its confusing as to which way round they go.Maybe print back on the back to help? Didn't think the fit was as good and the felt a little more bulky but as I wasn't wearing them outside the home it was ok. Absorbency is good.

It's interesting to read about people questioning the size. I wear a medium to large which in womens size is apparently a 14 to 16. I have found these pants ok but did wonder if they would be too loose and would leak. As it was they didn't but I have wondered about people smaller than myself. Especially if the smallest size is medium and not a small or extra small as I have seen in conventional clothing.
Whilst I am aware that there is products like this on the market for children, these usually come with child like designs on them, and although underwear is usually something that is not on display, do adults really want to dress like children, especially in sensitive area like this?

Received my pack and vouchers, I used a voucher yesterday at Tesco and it was accepted, I’d been to Mansfield Boots first but they didn’t have any of these in stock! I gave this pack to my friend this afternoon and she tried them tonight and said fantastic fit which is a bonus as most other brands don’t tend to fit us larger ladies, can’t wait to try mine out in next couple of days; plus we’ve both got a long road journey coming up so will have a good trial! I went to Boots yesterday to see if I could get another packet of pants, but the ones we are all testing were sold out. Went back today to see that the shelves were restocked, but with Discreet Boutique rather than Maximum Protection. I thought I would try using a voucher for one of these to see what happens.
Went to the self serve tills only to find the same person working there who served me 2 days ago. I didn't want to be served by him too close to my last meeting with him, I thought that might somehow be a bit weird, so went to another till. Here I tried to use the self serve but got invited over to the actual check out. The lady scanned the pants and the voucher and advised me that I may have picked up the wrong product. When I said that there was nothing else there, she kindly had a look in the stock room. She came back with the Maximum Protection pants and as predicted, the voucher was rejected. This confused her and I said that I was aware of this happening as I am a product tester and that we have all been experiencing problems with scanning the vouchers but that the problem seems to be easy resolved when entering in the right code. She called over her Supervisor who sorted out the problem and I was able to walk away with my second packet of pants, for whichever of my friends I see first. Strangely enough, I haven't yet seen either of them. Goodness knows where they have got to.
Any way I think the morel of this story is to keep trying and be politely persuasive. Even if this means getting the pants yourself so that you give this out instead of the voucher which your friends and family might not feel comfortable with.

I've just woke up to a bit of a failure, too much wee in my pants and now a slightly wet bed. I put some on last night and whilst lied on my back I went in them. Gravity did its bit and pulled it all to the back. Not a problem there, or so I thought. I wake up on my side already going. This fills the front half of my pants and starts to leak out. It's tempting to think it was the position that I was lied in, but this is a normal position for me and I haven't had this problem before, not even with the cheaper pants on the market. I don't think the pants are to blame as they were well full and couldn't hold any more. They are called Maximum Protection and there is a clue in the name, they only hold so much, (even if that is quite a lot.)
Whilst it is a good idea to experiment and find out what your maximum is, don't be getting too ambitious and setting your self up for failure, especially if you're in public. Do this at home if you need to.

Following my coupon being rejected by Boots, I went to Tesco yesterday and asked at the information desk if they take the coupon. The staff member asked me to get the pants off the shelf and she would see if the coupon works or not. I did what she asked and the coupon was accepted straightaway, so my elderly mother in law will now be able to test them. Will now be able to hand out the remaining 4 coupons telling my family and friends to go to Tesco to get their free Always discreet maximum protection pants.

What a strange day for exchanging vouchers. After reading some of the posts from other team members who have had success at Tesco, I thought I would try there. If all goes well, I can earn Clubcard points whilst im at it. But typically it turns out, no. I live about a mile or two away from a Tesco Extra that sells almost any thing. Almost that is, apart from Always Discreet Maximum Protection. They have other Always Discreet of course, but not our ones. Not to worry I think to my self, I will do the same trick as I did yesterday in Boots. Didn't work. They don't carry Maximum Protection there. Back to Boots then, via the other shops that I need to go to.
Eventually in Boots I try the same trick with the "wrong ones." The same man on Self Serve, someone different on the other till. Thankfully a teenager who didn't have a clue what he was doing. Yes I did say that, on this occasion it was a blessing.
He went to the stock room and brought back what I was after, and as that went smoother than previously did as asked if I could use the other vouchers as, He said yes and goes to get two more packs of pants. I'm not convinced that he ran them through the till or not as I didn't get a receipt, however I do now have 5 packs of pants to give out to my friends. One of which I saw before hand, I will be meeting up with him tomorrow.

So giving up on the vouchers, but my partner's Auntie is delighted with the pants as she uses them every day. She even tried using a voucher at the boots where she stays and they were not very helpful towards her either and said that the voucher was obviously a fake.!!!!!!!!!!

I've managed to catch up with my friend Brian who going on previous conversations and knowing about myself, I believe he has incontinence problems but I'm not too sure, or wasn't until now at least. He knows that I test things on Super Savey Me, he also knows that I am constantly applying for other free things on the internet and often arrive with odd things that neither of us can actually use. So for me to turn up with some women's incontinence pants isn't actually that strange. At least it broke the ice for that awkward conversation. It turns out that this is something that he could use. The look on his face said it all. He was very greatful.

I've just had a phonecall from Brian thanking me for his pants. He asked me if I had some more that Chris could have. I think I may have found the group of friends that I'm handing out the extra pants to. Brian is a former builder who has done a lot of heavy lifting over the years, whilst Chris is currently a rugby player. Both of them are on the large size. If this goes the way I'm thinking it will, I will be asked about John next. He is on the large size too, but he's also a bit 'wiffy" and I don't think anyone has ever said anything about this to him. I can see that conversation happening quite soon.

After the debacle with Boots not accepting the coupons, a couple of my friends have managed to redeem their coupons I gave them at Tesco and already I have received excellent feedback about the Always Discreet Maximum Protection pants. They are well impressed, with size, with comfort, with absorbtion, with odour control, with the secure fitting. All which gives the confidence when at home and most importantly when out and about, at work, in shops, at the gym, visiting family. I am so glad they are loving the Always Discreet Maximum Protection pants.

I went round to see my friends Brian and Chris so that I could give Chris his pack of pants, and John was there as well. They have had the conversation with him. There had done it in a strange comical way that has been used between us many times over the years when approaching difficult subjects, and he admitted that he does have a problem, but had been too embarrassed to say anything about it and just hoped no one had noticed. Sadly that was not the case, but now it is out in the open amongst friends, (and how ever many people are doing this of course.) We had a very tearful and yet honest conversation, and it's the type of conversation that many more people should be having.
We don't mind people having broken limbs, we don't mind people being in hospital with an illness, and thankfully we understand mental health a lot more these days, and yet there seems to be some strange attitude towards incontinence. Sadly we still have some way to go.

I’ve just recovered from a hospital stay and fortunately had the pants the day before I went in. They kept me dry. I had no sores or infections. I prefer these now to the other leading brand that I used to use as the fit is more comfortable for me. I had the medium and size 12. Thank you. Given my vouchers away. Awaiting feedback.

Had a spasm moment while out shopping the always pants dealt with it amazing and soaked up my oops moment with ease no fuss .....no embarrassing wet trousers and the only one that knew was me.

Having suffered with incontinence for a number of years I was really pleased to see Always have started an 8 drop absorbency pant.
I love the usual always scent, it gives me confidence that I won’t smell like urine when the inevitable happens, and it does help disguise this.
As a size 16, I would personally size down for a more snug fit. The absorbency is great, much better than anything else in their range. Although it took some getting used to! (I always have a panic when I start to leak because I usually end up accidentally flooding any product I’ve tried, these worked remarkably well! And definitely left me feeling more confident when out and about!)
They are definitely more bulky than their usual ‘discreet’ range. And I’m not sure I’d swap my usual discreet pants for these under gym wear.
I wish these could be made slightly less bulky and more discreet but maintain the absorbency level.
A wetness indicator would be really beneficial on these as I sometimes am unable to tell if I’ve had a small dribble or a more substantial leak. Would also help anyone who relys on others to change.
Not yet been able to redeem a coupon due to stock at local stores. Wish I could use online.

I've now tried the products and I'm very impressed by them. They smell fresh from the beginning there very comfortable to wear and not noticeable which I was concerned about .I had the confidence to go out and didn't have any leaks.As for the coupons my friends can't use them as they won't take them in my local boots .

I'm now at the point where I have used up all of my free pants and have to go back to buying them again. But that's alright when you know that the product is worth buying. Whilst I have done my bit, I will still let you know how my friends are getting on.
In the meantime I did try an experiment with wearing these the wrong way around to see if it makes any difference, and it does. First of all is the fit. Although not uncomfortable in any way, having more material at the back means that they do fit better when the blue stripes on the waist band are at the back.
For my first usage with them the wrong way around I was stood up and so there wasn't an issue, just more wet padding at the front than there would be with normal usage. However, when I used some in bed this way, things were a little different. Nothing too major but there was some leakage. Even in my best position when lying on my back. I felt that it was important to try this because of another brand that I have used in the past that didn't work quite so well. With those there is still the issue of which way around do they go and whilst they worked great when the right way around and stood up, not so good when sat or lied down. There was less padding at the back and so that is where it leeked out of. With those I had to wear them back to front so that the right area was covered. That has not been an issue with these ones, although admittedly I haven't tried them when lying on my front, I'm usually on my back or my side. I will have to try doing it on my front some time.
