Olay Sensitive: Highlights from our eight project weeks

Highlights-from-our-Olay-Sensitive-project1-jpg

The eight weeks of our Olay Total Effects Sensitive project are up!

Over two months we have enjoyed the most successful Savvy Circle project to date, receiving in excess of 14,000 conversation reports and over 8,000 comments on our project blog. But, before we say goodbye on this occasion, let's take one final look at what we've been able to achieve together on this, our Olay project:

Together we...

I am sure you'll agree that it has been an exciting eight weeks!

And finally... From me personally I would like to say a huge thank you to every member on the project team who joined in and made this project exactly what it turned out to be - an enormous success! Your participation is greatly appreciated and it has been a pleasure to see just how many people got into the spirit of our project and helped make it such great fun. Roll on the next one ;)

Your Savvy Circle member dani

PS: Although our project is set to end we have a short period of time left to gather our final market research sheets and write any final conversation reports.

We'd love to hear your final thoughts on the product and what others have said in the last few days, so don't leave it too late - send in your conversation reports and research sheets now!

I would like to say thanks for letting me be a part. I'm not really a girly girl but it got me speaking to other girls (and boys) about skin care, which is something I wouldn't normally do. I like the fact that I got people's truthful views of the product instead of hearing what the company want me to hear. It's only a pity that the product wasn't sensitive enough for me because it started so well and I loved the fact that it absorbed so easily.

twixmars • 23/03/2012 - 09:33

IT'S BEEN A BLAST! Thanks Savvy Circle and Olay. Roll on the next project :D :D :D :D

Loubeylou • 23/03/2012 - 09:36

I have already bought another one ( Asda £7). I really enjoyed doing this, I organised an Olay party (well I hogged my sister in laws soiree). I discussed the products and the ingredients with lots of friends, colleagues and family members. I really like it and it makes my skin look and feel great.

dani • 23/03/2012 - 09:40

Thanks again!

Taxidriver • 23/03/2012 - 10:27

Thank you Olay and Savvy circle-This has been a great and interesting project, and it has had huge benefits for my skin.I only use spf's in summertime, so the fact that by daily moisturiser has then in is brilliant-I feel that I am caring for my skin, and fighting the 7 signs of ageing-what more can you ask for.Brilliant,I love Olay,thanks.

Taxidriver • 23/03/2012 - 11:41

I have loved this project, and loved Olay.It has really helped keep my skin moisturised, and I love that it has spf 15 in it, because i neglect that aspect to skin care apart from summertime.I feel that I am taking good care of my skin by using this cream, and fighting the signs of ageing-what more can you ask for.Thank you Olay and Savvy circle.

Hope you are all keeping well :)

diflk • 23/03/2012 - 15:05

This was my first project and although i may not have had as much time as other members to spread the word due to work commitments all those i managed to speak to were quite positive about olay sensitive and i am looking forward to future projects

mopsy57 • 23/03/2012 - 16:15

Well, it got us talking at work about skin care! My first project too and enjoyed it; people usually interested in free samples and happy to feed back. I realise I have been more diligent about my skin care whilst on the project - let's hope it is now a habit. Thanks for the support from the team and all you other savvy circlers!

pinkfee • 23/03/2012 - 17:28

@twixmars, glad you mentioned it, I hadn't seen it!

@rose1001, nice write up. Im glad the whole project has brought you closer to your neighbours etc and given you more confidence.

rose1001 • 23/03/2012 - 17:37

@pggz

eventually they will close this blog when the project ends - hopefully we will still find somewhere to chat.

@ALL
When filling in your final survey, remember to mention "GENERAL BLOG"!!!

@Dani - Thanks for choosing me to be part of this project I have really enjoyed being part of it!!!! Look forward to the next one :-)

Suzy77 • 23/03/2012 - 18:32

I've really enjoyed this project and trying out the moisturiser, my skin has definitely benefited and I've already bought another bottle to use when this one runs out using the voucher and also got it when it was 1/3 off in Tesco - bargain!

Have been making the first bottle last by using my hand cream first so that the Olay moisturiser doesn't sink into my hands as they have been a bit dry lately. It seems like an obvious tip but I mentioned it to some of my friends and they hadn't thought about it.

I look forward to the next project!
Thanks Olay and Savvy Circle

Amberlou286 • 23/03/2012 - 18:58

Slasher81 • 23/03/2012 - 22:32

A big "THANK YOU" for letting me be apart of another great Savvy Circle Team Project! x x :)
Also, a big "THANK YOU" to the greatness that is Olay! x x ;)
Looking forward to seeing what you will thrill us all with on the next project/s!!??

PrincessKitty • 23/03/2012 - 22:53

Thanks very much for letting me be a part of this project. I have enjoyed testing this product. I love it, the packaging is great and the dispenser lets out just the right amount. The actual product made my face feel lovely and soft and smooth and no other moisturiser has done that for me. I can't comment too much on whether it helps with the fine lines or not as, even though I'm 41, I don't actually have any that are noticeable, but I love the fact it has SPF to protect from the sun. I do have some sun damage And feel confident that this product can help repair that and stop it getting any worse. Overall, this product is superb. Well done Olay!

wyecotwitch • 23/03/2012 - 23:21

Thank you letting me part of the project, loved every minute of it, Must say Olay please can you bring out this in a hand cream soon think my hands are looking even older now the skin on my face looks better!,

loolah • 24/03/2012 - 14:38

The time has just flown past, thanks again for choosing me, i am now a convert to this range of Olay, thanks!

pinkfee • 24/03/2012 - 15:33

@ALL

Olay sensitive 50ml now half price in superdrug only £9.49

marskie • 24/03/2012 - 16:42

Thankyou Savvy Circle and Olay for including me in this great project. I will definately be continuing to use the cream during the day time, i still feel it is not rich enough for me as a night cream. My skin feels hydrated and has a fresh bright look too it and can wear it with confidence in summer that it is protecting my skin from the harmful rays of the sun. Very important at my age don't want any more wrinkles lol. Loved reading everyone elses opinion and a big thankyou to all the staff at Savvy Circle for making this a very pleasurable and exciting project for us to test.

rose1001 • 25/03/2012 - 17:18

@PGGZs remember you can post on all the blogs even if you aren't on the project (Viakal blog is still open and the spray only costs £2 so you could buy your own and give feedback!). If you don't want to post you can still read the blog to see what others are up to.

Very much look forward to seeing you all on other projects soon.

twixmars • 25/03/2012 - 17:26

@Rose1001
Hi, i am still awaiting my Viakal, have you received it yet?
Missing the Olay blog already :(

dani • 26/03/2012 - 10:20

@pinkfee: The blog won't close, which means you'll always be able to pop back and tell us about your recent Olay experiences!

Infact, we'd really love to see it stay active and hear what everybody is getting up to with their moisturiser, whether they have continued using it, or the reasons why they have gone back to their old one...

Thanks everybody for your fab comments!

pinkfee • 26/03/2012 - 15:37

So pleased with my Olay.

pinkfee • 26/03/2012 - 18:39

I have just done my photo for the after shot of my "before and after" with Olay. i thought that there would be a little difference as i do see an improvement in my skin. I am so glad i did this. i made sure that the lighting was the same, in the same room etc so there was not a false outcome.Wow there really is a massive difference, I can't believe the improvement. I am so pleased! :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) I have sent in my before and after pics on a conversation report.Thanks Olay/Savvy for opening my eyes to a better skin, I feel so much better about myself. I now need a product that will stop me having to dye my hair and one that will make me a permanent size 10. Is that too much to ask?

pinkfee • 26/03/2012 - 18:40

Thank you for this great opportunity and my great newly improved skin!!!

twixmars • 26/03/2012 - 22:25

Why can't i submit a long blog post. Someone please help me!!!!!!!!!

dani • 27/03/2012 - 11:36

@twixmars: Hm, should be able to write as usual. Please try again for me, and let me know if it is still causing you problems. :) Feel free to email me a screenshot of said problem too; that way we can take a look at it and try to resolve the problem. Thanks!

twixmars • 27/03/2012 - 12:57

@dani
I can write short paragraphs and the post apperas straight away, but if i want to write anything longer it takes a couple of hours before it's up. I think pinfee is having a similar problem

twixmars • 27/03/2012 - 12:58

@dani
Have just typed a reply to you and it hasn't come up!

dani • 27/03/2012 - 13:04

Sometimes certain words 'trigger' a list we have which requires a blog comment to be moderated before it is published. A few examples are "reaction" (as it could mean somebody has suffered a terrible reaction to the product and needs our advice urgently) or "rash", plus the obvious swear words and so on. :)

Please write me an email if your comments are not being published immediately and I will look into it and get back to you as quickly as possible.

twixmars • 27/03/2012 - 13:35

@dani
As you can see the post i put up at 13.57 had no trigger words and yet it didn't appear straight away. I'm baffled!!!!!!

dani • 27/03/2012 - 13:39

Possibly the word "problem" ;)

We have the list so that we can pick up on people who are experiencing difficulties and can help them as quickly as possible.

Maldita • 27/03/2012 - 21:54

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to be part of the project. Had enjoyed and had fun sharing it to my friends and family. Looking forward to another savvy circle project. cheers!:)

pinkfee • 28/03/2012 - 10:03

@PGGZ
Not doing so much blogging just now as I am nursing my daughters poorly hamster. I am having to water him via a sringe and hand feed him every few hours. He is a lovely little guy I really hope he pulls through. He has seen the vet and this is the best course just now! :-(

Scelestus • 28/03/2012 - 10:10

I have really enjoyed taking part in this project, firstly because I am so impressed with the product. I have sensitive skin & a lot of moisurisers sit greasily on my skin or give me spots or dry patches; Olay didn't. I will continue to use it.

The initial packaging was lovely; it made me feel quite special and part of something special.

It has been great fun talking to people about this; I have found that there is a general fondness for Olay; but less so for Tesco!! People were delighted to get the samples and the vouchers.

The one thing I wasn't prepared for was people staring at my face and in one situation a stranger stroking my cheek to see how soft my skin was! I was slightly thrown by this but she happily took a voucher & said she would buy it as my skin felt lovely!

Thanks to everyone involved; I've have great fun :-)

twixmars • 28/03/2012 - 12:12

@pinkfee
Hope your daughter's hamster is well again soon xx

Dcadmam • 28/03/2012 - 12:32

Riahna • 29/03/2012 - 13:39

I really liked my sample as well as it has helped my skin through the winter and now I have healthy,younger and smoother skin as well.

lizmiss • 01/04/2012 - 14:47

I really enjoyed this project, my samples were late in arrivng but when I got them I made up for it by spreadng the word far and wide.

Olay has definately made a difference to my skins condition and I will keep on using the product goind forward.

I am pleased to have been selected.

Thanks Olay

pinkfee • 01/04/2012 - 17:17

@twixmars
I am sorry to hear something has happened and you have had to give up the project. I will miss our little conversations.

@all/PGGZ
Back on the blog. Spent nearly a week nursing my daughters hamster, the vet thought he may pull round and improve, but this was not the case. He died in my arms the other day. I never thought I would get so attached to him, it was really sad. I will miss the little guy!

moon2 • 01/04/2012 - 17:32

thankyou so much for letting me take part in this project i have loved every min of it

rose1001 • 02/04/2012 - 15:38

@pinkfee - sorry to hear about the hamster, it's surprising how attached you can get isn't it.
@twixmars, thinking of you and hope you will be back soon.
@PGGZs - I'm on the Viakal project now, hope to see some of you over there, remember you can pop in and blog without being on the project team.

41dee • 03/04/2012 - 11:17

Laura C. • 04/04/2012 - 18:53

Just a goodbye and many thanks for letting me on the team to review this great product.I am totally amazed as all my friends and relations love it also. Just getting over a nasty bug Novoviruis I think and it completely flawed me for a week and my skin was terrible as felt so terrible didnt do my hair or face just in bed feeling awful and very dehydrated. Put a good amount of Olay on today and it seemed to revive my skin and rehydrate it thank goodness for Olay.

jmtcar • 06/04/2012 - 10:58

oh me its came to the end i have already left my views a week ago but i miss coming on to leave comments and read other peoples views.thank you cant wait to see if i can take part in any other projects.

twixmars • 09/04/2012 - 22:20

Hi All especially fellow PGGZS,
Nice to be back on the blogs. Have had a rough few weeks and there have been times when my beauty regime has taken a back seat, and boy can i tell the difference when i haven't been using Olay twice a day. It makes you realise just how much Olay is doing for your skin. This product is a keeper for me xx

simren • 17/04/2012 - 17:11

Thank you I really enjoyed doing this project, I organised an Olay party where I discussed the products and the ingredients with lots of friends and family. I love new Olay it really does make a difference. I have brought one already.
