Our one-week project extension is now up, meaning the end of our Pantene Pro-V project has finally arrived.
Over the last 9 weeks we’ve been astounded by the number of conversation reports, research sheets and photos that we have received, and have been amazed at the 5,000+ comments on our project blog! So, our final blogpost takes a look back at the highlights of our nine-week project:

We have:
Received… expert answers to our questions.
Our contact at Pantene, Jo, was more than happy to answer any of our product-related or hair-care questions.
Posted… loads of online reviews.
Whether on the Tried & Tested page on supersavvyme.co.uk, at any one of the many product review platforms, or even your personal blogs, the reviews are there for all to see!
Shared… our personal hair-care tips.
Not forgetting the tips from our project handbook, we also shared a whole load of tips on our blog too to help keep our hair as healthy and as beautiful as possible.
Amazed… our contact at Pantene.
Not just Jo but the whole Pantene team was thrilled to be a part of our project and to see and read all of the fantastic feedback that came in over the 9 weeks. On their behalf, thank you for the hard work!
And last but not least…
I’d like to say a massive thank you to everybody on the project team and everybody who contributed to making this project such a success, regardless of whether you were able to demonstrate the new range to masses of people or simply joined in with the discussion on our blog here. It’s been great fun, and I am already looking forward to our next project together.

Now that we’re back from our holiday breaks, it’s a great time to report all the conversations we’ve had with friends and family about the new Pantene Pro-V collection.
The stress is finally over! Every gift we bought has been unwrapped, every meal we’ve made has been eaten. 2012 is here, and we’re relieved to finally have a moment to ourselves.

Still, we’ve got to admit, the holidays were a great time for conversation. Whether around the Christmas tree or the dinner table, we all certainly shared recipes, tips and advice… and whether unintentionally or on purpose, one of those topics of conversation might have been about the new Pantene Pro-V collection.
Savvy Circle member giraffe1 made use of Christmas tradition to spread the word about the Pantene Pro-V collection.
I decided to put a sample set, voucher and brochure in everyone’s gift bags-friends and family, they were all very happy and thought it was a unique thing to do. My mum especially has gone on and brought the products after finding the products really thickened her hair and gave her hair a new lease on life!!!! Savvy Circle member giraffe1
You may not have had time during the hustle and bustle of it all to write a conversation report, but it’s by no means too late to tell us what your family and friends said when you told them about the new Pantene Pro-V collection. Remember, it’s important that we collect all the opinions together before it’s too late – so do get those conversation reports in!

@all – Who did you tell about the new Pantene Pro-V collection this holiday season, and how did they react?
Over the past eight weeks on our Pantene Pro-V project we’ve been receiving a lot of questions about the new hair care range from Pantene.
So, instead of keeping the answers secret and simply answering them via email, what better than to publish two of the most common questions and answer them on our blog?

- I have been advised to avoid using Pantene with coloured hair as it strips the colour and in fact absorbs the hair dye so when coming to wash the hair, the dye is removed leaving your hair with less defined colour. Is this true?
The specific Pantene Colour Range is designed to help keep the colour in the hair. When using these products including the weekly Colour Seal Concentrate the colour fading is protected and the hair left shiny and healthy looking. No Product in the Pantene Pro-V collection will strip or remove the colour of your hair and are safe for colour-treated, permed hair.
If the colour of your hair looks dull and unhealthy it could be as a result of other factors such as:
- Infrequent Conditioning
- Sun exposure
- Chemically treated water in swimming pools
- Overuse of styling products
- My hairdresser/friend told me never to use Pantene as it makes your hair more susceptible to breakages and causes build up overtime. Is this true?
Pantene is designed to be used regularly. Like other conditioning products it provides protection to the hair which helps to prevent damage and breakage and leaves the hair healthy looking and shiny. Our silicones found in the Pantene Pro-V range are lightweight and do not cause build up over time. As with all cosmetic ingredients they are safe and non-toxic and wash off easily at the next shampoo. You can use as often as desired.
@all: Feel free to continue sending your questions in! What do you think of the two here?
We’ve been absolutely overwhelmed by the project team’s response to our Savvy Circle project for Pantene. Thanks for your fantastic work so far!
Your feedback has been passed on to Pantene on a weekly basis and the team there is delighted with all of the conversation reports, blog comments, market research sheets and photos that have been sent in.
As a result it has been decided to extend our eight week project by a further week, meaning we now have until 20 January to keep sending in feedback and spreading the word so that we can continue delighting the Pantene team in our joint Savvy Circle project!
Keep your conversation reports coming in, and remember to check the blog on a daily basis to join in with the various topics we’ll be discussing.

It’s been a good few weeks since our project for the new Pantene Pro-V collection started, and by now we’re all no doubt in a great position to be able to help others who are considering buying the new Pantene Pro-V range.
Not only are we able to share our experiences on the project, but we can also provide valuable feedback to help influence other people’s opinions on the product before they make a purchase.
One of the best ways to tell others of your experience – including people who are yet to visit the Savvy Circle - is by visiting Tried & Tested, the product review section on supersavvyme. On Tried & Tested you can not only read what other people think of the new Pantene Pro-V collection, but write your own report too.

Remember, it’s not just potential Pantene Pro-V purchasers who love to see your reviews online – the brand too is interested in seeing what you like about their product, and how you feel it could be improved.
Along with other product evaluation platforms such as Amazon and Ciao, you can also write reviews on Dooyoo.co.uk, as Savvy Circle member loopylou33 did below:

Reading online reviews is a great source of finding out other people’s product evaluations, especially from people who have been able to experience the product over a number of weeks and have become real Pantene experts, such as ourselves.
As we’re still growing on the Savvy Circle, you have a great chance to let other people know about your experiences and to give them your honest opinion after testing the new range of hair care products over a number of weeks.
@all: Have you written an online product review yet? Share your links with us below and in a conversation report by clicking here.
When asking your family and friends for their opinions on the new Pantene Pro-V collection you can use the market research sheets from your starter kit.
You can also use the insider information from the project handbook to explain what makes the new hair care range so special, and then have your family and friends fill out one of the twenty market research sheets.
Why not do what our fellow project member, Savvy Circle member Wallsy, did and hand out money off coupons along with some market research sheets to friends and family?
I was at my Nieces Birthday party today. [...] Just as well I had some money off coupons which went down very well. I got the mums to fill in some market research sheets and I spread the word about Pantene.Savvy Circle member Wallsy

Don’t forget, in order for you to get your feedback to the brand it’s important, once you receive a completed sheet back, that you transfer the answers to us online. Simply click here to copy over the answers.
Tip: If you happen to be running out of sheets you can of course photocopy one of them so that you don’t run out!

@all: Let us know who you have spoken to about the new Pantene Pro-V collection this Christmas & New Year!
When you were a child, your parents probably dictated how often your hair should be washed. Now that you’re grown, though, you’ve worked it out for yourself – how much is too much, and how much is enough?

Some hair types require daily- or almost-daily shampooing; for example, fine, thin hair seems to demand frequent washings lest it become limp and dull. If you’ve got this type of hair, it’s important to wash with shampoos that won’t deplete hair’s natural lustre if used daily – luckily, Pantene’s line of products designed for fine hair have been proven to not only remove build-up, but to help reinforce and nourish the hair shaft.
On the other hand, coarse, thick, dry hair may be able to go without frequent shampooing – however, it does require extra moisture, so it’s best to select a shampoo such as Pantene’s Repair and Protect, which locks moisture in the hair shaft and prevents against frizz. Additionally, regular, thorough conditioning (especially combined with deep conditioning with a Pantene 2 Minute Deep Repair Mask) protects against breakage and leaves hair sleek and shiny.
Besides hair type, style and lifestyle also influence when we wash our hair.
Some of us may have hair that can be easily washed and styled in a matter of minutes. Others, however – those with longer hair or difficult cuts – may require a bit more time in order to achieve our desired results, and that’s time we may not have on busy mornings.
@all – How often do you wash your hair? When do you do it – morning, evening, or sometime in between? Is your routine dictated more by your hair type, or by your lifestyle?
