Who’ve you been speaking to about Olay Total Effects?

With our Savvy Circle project now well and truly underway I think it’s a good time to see who we’ve been speaking to about Olay and who we’ve been handing samples out and chatting about our new moisturiser to!

Whether you opened up your starter kit in the office or at home I am sure most of us have now had the opportunity to start trying out the new Total Effects Sensitive Moisturiser and spreading the word to others.

Savvy Circle member moncac took her kit to work to help spread the word about Olay’s Total Effects Sensitive Moisturiser, while another of our project team, Savvy Circle member lynnette, took her samples and coupons on a night out with the girls:

Olay Total Effects Sensitive Moisturiser tried out at home.
Ladies trying out their samples of Olay Total Effects Sensitive Moisturiser

I took my kit to work today, to handle some samples out, take some pictures and spread the word about my first experience with Olay. We are mainly a female team at work, so it was so easy to talk about new product and everybody seemed so excited just like me. I gave some samples away together with vouchers and all the girls tested the product straight away. I received positive feedback from all of them. […] Savvy Circle member moncac

I was having drinks last night with the girls […] when I arrived I told them about the product and gave out the free samples, the money off vouchers and the feedback sheets. […] they liked the cream and we all had a try with it. […] Savvy Circle member lynnette

Let us know who you’ve been talking to about our project and your new Olay Total Effects Sensitive Moisturiser by leaving a comment below!

Been talking about the product to people at work – gave out samples and put the vouchers on the Noticeboard in the kitchenette.

Just come back from Athens and got “caught up” in the tail end of the tear gas and riots in the centre! Nothing to worry about, but the Olay seemed to protect the skin atleast!! Talk about product testing!!

2 weeks in and I have to say that generally my skin does feel softer.
Some days I have to top up my first application as it just seems to go whoosh and it’s gone!
The few spots I had after the first 2/3 days have gone – so that’s a good move too.

I’m just hoping with regular use I’ll find that one application each morning will be enough!

Not sure how long the 30ml pump dispenser will last though – with 2 applications some morning and a couple fo pamper sessions with the girls!

One day it just might not work! Ooo. could we have a pump dispenser with a window (like on toothpaste pumps!) so you can see where you are with it?

I am still enjoying testing Olay. So far I am really pleased, as I have had no skin irritation at all, and lovely soft skin who could ask for more? I too have found that I am using more cream than I expected. When I first started to use it I though that a little went a long way but as my skin is getting used to it I am finding that I am using twice as much.

I’ve given out samples to friends, family and mums from school and used the cream myself. So far I have nothing but good things to say about it and those who I’ve given the samples to seem very positive too

Given out all my samples to friends and family, awaiting feedback.
Day Four of the trial for me, all is still well in my world of Olay, just a slight itch under my left eye.

I’ve handed out some of the samples to work colleagues, hopefully i’ll be able to hand more out to my bookclub as well! Everyone seems to be enjoying the samples so far … can’t wait to start filling in my survey forms!

I have handed out all of my samples, to family, work colleagues and friends who were all really pleased to get them and give them a go! I have had feedback from my Mum who loves it and my friends, some of whom liked it and others who will be sticking to thier old brands. I have filled out the sample forms and submitted them today!

Unfortunately I did not get on with it at all, I found it too heavy for my skin and found that it ‘peeled/flaked off’ during the day and I also broke out in spots around my hairline. This is a shame but my Mum was more than happy to have my sample pot to keep on with the trial.

Interesting comment from one of my ladies who tried the sample. She said that at first she needed to put loads of product on but now she has noticed that she needs only use a little bit. Her skin feels less dry and more hydrated.

I’ve noticed my skin feels less dry towards the end of the day. Noticed there is no significant ‘smell’ to the product which I guess is due to there being no added fragrances. Obviously that’s good and better for you but I do like my products to have a hint of ‘smell’ to them!

    So far so good……..

Ive handed out my samples and have had good feedback about it although some say they wouldnt pay for a full sized one lol!
So far I am pleased ,Ive not seen a huge difference to my face but we’ll see how we go.
As above…………..so far so good x

Every friend that comes thru my front door, for coffee or a chat, is told all about this latest venture! Most have been more than happy to take away a free sample & coupon:) Tho a few have thought the price too much for the fullsized product…but hopefully if they liked the sample, they may reconsider!! I Have a support group meeting coming up soon, so will share info there… but not been out socialising as much as usual as I,ve been unwell :( Now on the mend and can’t wait to get a wider circle of friends to try this out too!

I’ve been trying the product since I received my pack, I was hoping for great things as my skin is very sensitive…….but sadly I haven’t found this project to work for my skin. My skin is still red, a few spots have appeared and I certainly haven’t noticed any fine lines diminishing(unfortunately). When I apply it at night I feel like I need to apply it again as my face doesn’t feel moisturised enough, although applying it in the morning gives a good base for makeup without the makeup sliding off soon after. The product smells nice and the pump dispenser gives a good amount of moisturiser in one go. Its not the miracle creamfor my skin though I’m afraid.

  • 17.02.12 - 19:41

I love the idea that the cream comes in a pump so stays hygenic. I like the fact it has no chemical smell to it. All my friends have taken the free samples and they seem to love it to!

I’ve had flu so have been late starting with handing out my samples & writing here. Have been using the cream for over a week now though – maybe it’s because I’ve been poorly but my skin is not good at the moment. Extremely sensitive & reactive, covered in spots & blemishes…yuk…wrinkles AND spots. I have found the cream absorbs very easily but in fact after a few minutes it feels dry again & I need some more. Not good under makeup unfortunately – does that ‘bobbly’ thing – starts rubbing off when foundation applied. Passed on samples to a few neighbors – within a few hours I had knocks on the door when other neighbors heard about the Olay samples and came to ask for one !! xx

Over 2 wks in and I am starting to see a difference in my skin, it no longer feels dry and doesn’t sting when I apply it. It does sometimes take more then 1 pump to cover the whole of my face as it just seems to melt into my skin.
Everyone I have given samples to loves it and hopefully will be like me & changing to Olay for daily moisturising.

Mum was surprised at how much you can get out of those little tester tubes. A little seems to go a long way for her. I always feel like it’s not going to be enough but I don’t have any dry patches so it seems to be working well. My skin also doesn’t seem to be as greasy at the end of the day.

Love it – I suffer from bouts of horrible skin and since I have been using Olay Total Effects, the breakouts have reduced and my skin looks a lot better. The samples tubes are great for keeping in my makeup bag in case I need it (although most will be given to friends!). Thank you Olay! x

I posted last week that my 87 year old auntie was trying out the sample. I spoke to her yesterday and she is so pleased with the cream she is definitely going to buy some with the Boots vouchers she had for Christmas! She has never regularly used facial cream but really loves that this is absorbed so quickly and well. Auntie lives by the sea so hopes Olay will protect her skin from the elements. I feel so pleased that my spreading the word has ‘worked’ and that I have helped my Auntie.

Having been using this product for two weeks now, thrilled to report that the product is fab. Not only does my skin feel softer, toned and calmed – its also a great base for applying make up too. Just a shame we can’t test the spf 15 factor of this product!

I have given out now all of my samples and money off coupons to family, friends and work colleagues. I have been using the olay total effects product now for two weeks and i can definitely notice a difference. My skin seems a lot smoother and i seem to have more of a glow. I like the fact that a little of this moisturiser goes a long way and the fact that it is not really greasy. Very impressed so far…let’s see if the positive results continue!

Just over two weeks in on the trial. My skin feels really good, though I am not sure when it will run out. I agree with a comment below, a visible window to see how much product you have left would be good. I dont seem to need a much product as I did the first few days, one and a bit pump is enough. Considering buying some though, as I really like it.

  • 18.02.12 - 13:58

    by: Savvy Circle member k1pp3r

I have given out all my samples and got mixed feedback.
I got quite afew spots in the first week but I kept on using product. Now my skin is very dry and quite itchy. My skin is quite uncomftable and after being asked if I was getting enough sleep as my skin looked tired I am giving up using product and going back to my old face cream. The feedback from samples is also mixed with about 50% not liking product. Have any other testers had similar problems?

  • 18.02.12 - 15:04

    by: Savvy Circle member its333

I have been using this product for over 2wks now and have noticed a big difference in my skin. Usually at this time of year I suffer with lots of dry skin but not since using olay total effects its very rich and soaks in well leaving no greasiness like some creams do. Also I can feel a slight tightening of the skin once applied and also find a little does go along way. I have also tried this out with the girls from work and they too seem as impressed as I am.

  • 18.02.12 - 15:26

    by: Savvy Circle member tariq19

So pleased with this product my skin is softer, brighter and most of all lost some of the fine lines round my eyes. i will be buying Olay from now on. Family and colleagues also have given positive feed back so far so good..

  • 18.02.12 - 15:42

    by: Savvy Circle member M3KYV

Having used the cream for a few weeks now it is ‘growing’ on me. I wasn’t sure at first as I found that it soaked in so quickly I needed to put plenty on.
However on a positive note my skin seems softer and smoother without any dryness. Am waiting for feedback from friends and family but nothing negative so far.

  • 18.02.12 - 16:01

    by: Savvy Circle member magnersandco

I have been using the cream for two weeks now and have really noticed a difference in my skin. I didn’t really expect to as I have tried so many other creams before. I really like this one and think I will be sticking to it. At the beginning I did not like the smell but now I don’t notice it at all. Got some feedback from friends and while some think it is too expensive most are impressed with the product and there have been no bad reactions.

As the parcel arrived at the usually dull office…all wondering eyes are eering over at my desk to see what goodies i had received…all the girlies getting excited (gathering near to my desk conveniently located next to the printer to “pick up their sheets”) as i openend a surprise of beauty goodies….all the samples disappeared straight away (much to my mums dissapointment)…and luckily just the perfect amount otherwise my bottle would have gone too! Great way to get all the girls together and chatting away in our small office all the samples (and especially the vouchers) disappeared within minutes!

Feedback has been great….I am sure that our local tesco shelves are closer to being emptied out by my now radiant colleagues…the office is certainly glowing more ( I am hoping my manager notices this and offers a hefty promotion for my staff motivational skills!)

Personally I love it!! With my collection of beauty products i am always chopping and changing to suit my mood, but this is great for morning and night! It abosrbs straight away, and the fresh smell certainly helps lighten my mood. The best time for me is night-time application, after scrubbing and toning, it’s an instant tingle when i apply it, as if getting taughter straight away….next morning i wake up and my skin looks bright and flawless. The slight downfall is i have some drier patches on my skin, and after a few hours, these look more visable than with some other moisturisers i use but overall and excellent product…would strongly recommend!!!

like others I have noticed a difference in the softness of my skin. But.. my skin is really dry, especially in the cold, so I have to keep topping up.

    by: Savvy Circle member jennyloub

Finding it fab and seems to be very kind on my sensitive skin. The only problem is that it doesn’t seem to go very far and you have to use a lot more of the product than you would expect so I don’t feel that the 30ml is going to last very long.

i’ve mostly been talking to the girls at work,we all love samples and vouchers!one girl says she cant use olay,so it will be interesting to see how she gets on with the sensitive sample.the other day i caught my boyfriend using my sample!he loves a good face cream-he said it felt a bit lighter than other creams, which is actually quite good for him, because he can end up a bit shiney, finally,i,ve already bought my next bottle of cream, its on offer in tesco, and together with the voucher its a great selling point to tell my friends.

Have now handed out all my samples and money off coupons – response has been fantastic from all who have tried – one lady unfortunately has had to stop using hers as she has broken out in spots – not sure if it is from the cream, but she has said that she would try it again in a month or so. All others who have tried have been very impressed – must admit, I’ve seen an improvement in my skin!

I’ve handed out my samples to The Girls and tonight we are getting together for a Night Of Olay (and wine) to see how they have all got on. There are 5 friends and myself discussing things later on so watch this space for an update!

So far, my skin has looked increasingly brighter, smoother and far less dull! I’m hoping that The Girls will have similar results.

I have been applying the product to my face & neck twice a day for four days now & so far so good – I am very impressed with the ease with which the moisturiser is absorbed by the skin. It has a lovely smooth feel.

I used Olay Sensitive for the first time this morning. My skin is looking really soft and doesn’t feel irritated at all. I have been out with my daughter today in the park and the cold weather hasn’t dried my skin out which is great.

taking my samples to work was a great way to spread the word, I gave out the samples at coffee break and we had a good discussion on the merits of olay – the whole range available. several of the girls were glad to know there was now a sensitive total effects.

I was complimented on my skin today by a close friend who knows that I suffer in the cold weather. I have been using my sample for 4 days now and already it is making a difference.

2 weeks in and I am really pleased with Olay Sensitive – I have already reported on the blog about my usually troublesome skin (extremely sensitive to new products, eczematous and acne breakouts as well as cold sores) – but I am pleased to say that it is no more! Olay Sensitive even helps control the extreme dryness that running outside in all weathers can cause. I love how it is making my skin feel so soft and smooth and much brighter.

    thank you Olay!!

My friends have been busy trying out the cream. I really like it – it is much heavier than the product I would normally use but it does make my skin feel really soft and hydrated. One friend has fed back that she finds that it smells like fake tan and took a long time to absorb into her skin. I am interested to see if any of my other friends have found anything like this – I certainly haven’t. Oh yes, and my mum, who is also trying the cream, has reported that Tesco have this very item on offer at the moment and with the coupon I gave her, the price comes down to £6 ish, so she is off to buy. It must be good as she has really delicate skin!

Unfortunately I have found that Olay Total Effects has not re-hydrated my skin enough. I feel i still need to apply another moisturiser to re-hydrate my skin. I’m also finding that I am more spotty than usual, particularly on my forhesd and cheeks. Don’t know if it’s the double dose of products (Olay + moisturiser) or the time of year etc.

  • At first this seemed too greasy but after nearly a week of using it I am impressed by it’s effect on my sensitive skin. I also do a lot of swimming, and when I go I am in the water for three hours or more. My skin is usually chlorinated and dry when I leave the pool, but yesterday it still felt soft and moisturized. ( This was before I re-applied the Olay Total Effects moisturizer. ) I also have blotchy and sun damaged skin. ( I cycle and walk a lot, and am quite neglectful of skin care as I find that a lot of sun blocks streak my skin. They also sting my eyes when I sweat.) The Olay Total Effects moisturizer seems to have evened out my complexion, but only when seen at a distance. ( A foot or more away.) I don’t expect a miracle cream when I buy a moisturizer , so the light reflecting qualities of this one is good enough for me. I presumed it works well under foundation too, because of this, and for the first time yesterday I tried some foundation mousse on top. The foundation mousse – which is very light and smooth – looked great. ( When I have tried foundation before it has just laid on top of my skin and has refused to sink in.)
I just want to quickly mention of the anti-wrinkle properties of the cream. I can say the effect it has on my skin so far has been improving, but again, I don’t expect a miracle in a jar. The improvement is very negligible, but still there.
As Olay Total Effects is for sensitive skin I must add that my first application of it made my skin feel like it was a bit itchy, but my skin is like that with most products. After the first application it was fine.
The price of Olay Total Effects is £14.99 for 37ml. I am on a low wage, so I am looking on ebay and Amazon for bargain buys. If you are using this properly though, and not applying with over liberal amounts, like me, then I imagine it would last longer than the sample I am using.

I have been using this product for nearly two weeks now and it is amazing. My skin tone has evened out and feels soft and plumped up. I took a sample to a lady I buy eggs from and she has got back to me saying she loves it and with the voucher will definately be buyin some. The sample lasts ages as you only need a very small amount so very economical as well.I havnt a lot of money and will struggle to pay the full price so will have to see if I can buy it on offer although I think my large olay will last for a long time. Will try to upload so photos but having a problem doing so at the moment. My little granddaughter who is nearly 7 likes to put a bit on her face and I dont mind as it is so gentle on the skin whether young or old.

hi the general opnion i have found amongst my friends is that they like the prouduct and after trying out there sample .have then gone out and bought it .they say it feels nice on there skin and it absorbs well too.as some othere creams they have tried have felt greasy.also you only need a small amount so it should last a while.i have not had any negative comments so far.

Day Six and all is still well in Olay world. I thought i was going to have problems with it as i have very sensitive skin, especially around my eyes and mouth, but olay has been great for me. Yet my friend, who over the years has used all kinds of products on her face with no problems, has come out in a red rash all over her cheeks.

Have been updating via my blog. I’ve had to stop using the product due to itchy break outs, but other testers – that include Hubby – seem to be liking the product and have had no problems. My Mum has always used the ‘original’ Olay, but since finishing her sample has purchased her first bottle of Total Effects.

Have been using the olay sensitive since the day i received it a few weeks ago, I am really pleased that it has not congested my temperamental skin, it is very creamy and soothing to use but absorbs quickly for me so no greasiness.

put it to the test by using it when going on day out with kids!weather was cold and windy, played in a indoor soft play area, went on a roller coaster and travelled on a bus! at the end of the day my skin felt fine and I didnt have that drained look halfway through the day.

I’ve been using Olay Total Effects Sensitive twice a day for 2 or 3 weeks now and so far I like it. It soaks in quickly and easily and leaves the skin feeling very smooth. Once it is on I can see a definite improvement in the look of my face – the skin tone looks even and lines seem less obvious. However, when my face is washed and before I apply the Olay, I have to say I can’t see too much improvement from the norm. So to a degree it acts a bit like a moisturising foundation which is good but you need to have realistic expectations. My only concern so far is that as most of my lines and crows fee are around my eye area, that is obviously where I want to see the most improvement. However, I have found that within minutes, a tiny bit of the cream seems to seem into my eyes from the outside corner which makes them sting. As I am a contact lens wearer I am therefore very wary about putting Olay anywhere near my eyes in the morning as that would make wearing lenses impossible. However, on balance I do like the product. I have been using Olay products since my teens (I am now late 40s) and I think they have helped to keep my skin looking good.

Over three weeks in on the project and i am very impressed, i had a couple of spots after day 2-3 but they have cleared up nicely, my skin feels hydrated and softer than it has for many years, it absorbs quickly but with a second application later on in the evening it seems to be keeping mositure in all day. most of my friends and family that i gave samples to agree with me that this is a great product.

The first week i used this cream my skin felt fab but then i had to keep applying more as skin was drying out and flaking s have stopped using at mo but will start again. My skin definetly felt awesome at the beginning as cream was not too heavy and didnt make skin greasy at al im hoping it was just a blip and i will start again. friends didnt seem to have same prob as me but he all skins are different. Looking forward to doing another trial as these are fantastic to tr out products you may not intend to buy yourself

Unfortunately i have received a negative response from one of my work colleagues! She has used the cream for 3 days now & has come out in a rash of spots on her chin so won’t be using or recommending this product! She was sceptical in the first place because of her sensitive skin & it has now confirmed to her to stick to what she knows best! Personally i am still using the cream & have to say that although it has diminished my pores & softened my skin i have yet to notice an improvement in my fine lines & wrinkles!

Well I have to say, despite my thinking that the cream felt quite dry when I put it on, there is a definite change in my skin. My lines have definitely softened and my skin generally looks in better condition. However, Im positive that the cream will not last for eight weeks.

  • Hey twixmars and everyone else;

I have only just started using my pack as it was delivered 30minutes before I left for the airport. Started using on 17th and love the feel of this on my skin and just hope the long time benefits will be as good.
Have a query though; with my usual moisturiser I always used an eye cream too. Is this necessary with Olay total effects?

Looking forward to being back at work tomorrow to spread the word.

Just wanted to say a well done to Olay. I have been applying my Olay Total Effects religiously every day and am delighted with the product for many reasons:
    - the pump dispenser delivers small amounts ( so no waste!)
    - only need a small amount of product for application
    - when applying it is easily absorbed
    - does not leave skin feeling tacky or looking shiny
    - is a good base for makeup application
    - and above all my skin is visibly more evenly toned and healthier looking.

    Thank you Olay.

I’m a bit disapppointed. My husband and I have been away walking for a couple of days and my skin has gone really dry especially on my forehead. I don’t think this is as moisturising as I need, it was especially windy so I’m going to try again later this week once I’ve drenched my skin with some moisturiser for dry skin and hopefully it’ll work for me.

I have shared my samples with the gilrs at work , it was all very exciting with a mixed reaction , but everyone likes something for free :) I willbe following up on Tuesday as to how they are liking or disliking the product. I love it , my only concern is that since I have been usung it , i have had some rather large spots appear , which is quite out of charactor for my skin, but i am loving the reduction in the size of my porse though and how soft my skin feels (wish i could say the same about my hands)

I stopped using the cream for a couple of days due to skin feeling itchy and having a break out also felt a tingly stinging sensation. Skin was very dry and flaky for these days but I didn’t use anything to allow skin to calm down. Started using sensitive cream again day before yesterday ok yesterday felt the stinging this morning and now noticed a few spots along my jawline I will perservere this time to see if its just my skin objecting to a new product as it doesn’t feel like previous allergic reactions I have had.
I do like the pump dispenser no waste and the light non greasy feel, my skin does feel softer and the pores do seem less noticable but that could be because I’m looking at the spots instead lol ;)

I have been using Olay for 3 weeks now twice daily. I have noticed a visible improvement in my skin. It does look healthier and feels very soft. I use the pink beauty fluid by Olay anyway and do find that your skin is soft with Olay products but the new Olay sensitive has improved the appearance of my skin and genuinely does look better. The majority of my friends/colleagues who received a sample from me already used Olay products which did surprise me due to a varied age range 23 – 64. overall I am very happy with this moisturiser and think it is worth buying.

I’m getting lots of positive feedback from the people i gave my samples to. Having used the Olay sensitive moisturiser for about 2 weeks now, I can honestly say I have noticed a definite positive difference in the feel and texture of my skin. A little seems to go a long way when applying it and it absorbs very easily and quickly on my skin. The fine lines around my eyes seemed to have lessened and my skin seems a bit more plumped out than before. I am enjoying giving out the little tester tubes to friends and family and so far I have not received any negative feedback from them.

Love reading everyones comments on this blog, I had a slight tingling feeling on the first days of using it and it made my eyes stream a bit, I didnt know if this was just me but after reading peoples comments its not just me. I dont think I have sensitive skin but find it very hard to get a product that doesnt make my eyes sting even when the cream is nowhere near my eyes. I have carried on using it and dont have any tingling feeling on the skin or my eyes anymore. It is a great cream, I have noticed that my blackheads seem to be worse but I cant be sure its the cream that has made them worse. Me and my mum love it it makes our skin so soft, we have already bought another pump (with the vouchers of course) I love being a tester its great fun all my friends who I have given testers to think its brilliant. Everyone so far has said they are impressed with the product. Various comments such as. how it sinks in well to the skin. How it makes skin feel moisturesed without feeling greasy. How it has caused no iritation to the skin even though they have sensetive skin. I have had no negative comments so far and the resounding comments are that Olay does it again. Providing a great addition to theirt products that work.

I have given out all my testers and vouchers and i have had a positive reaction to everyone i have given them to, there has been a problem with eyes watering after the application which has lasted a couple of minutes, but other than that everyone is really pleased and has commented on how the it makes their skin feel so soft. I have used the cream every morning and every evening and it seems to of made a difference to my skin, it so soft and it looks like it has made a difference around my eye area, my only concern with using it day and night it that the sample given would not actually last to long and was wondering if there is a bigger bottle that can be purchased as i would need 1 every 2/3 weeks otherwise. Other than that a great product, with great feedback. :-)

I went into my local Co-op for tobacco after using my Olay for around 2 weeks. (I know, I really should give up!) The assistant put on her glasses and peered at me, asking me my age. I was feeling really good about myself and thought, wow, this stuff must be working miracles!!! I promptly and proudly told her that I was actually 40 this year and had started using Olay as part of a survey and that I was pleased it was working! “Oh” she said….” Actually, I was just studying your face because my son won’t leave home and he’s 40 this year. I’m looking for potential partners for him…are you single?”
LOL. I’m putting this down to my glowing skin and not the fact that I simply wasn’t wearing a wedding ring. :)

Hi! everyone, just thought i would drop in again to tell you what`s been gogin on here. One of my friends who has been testing Olay total effects and loves it do much dragged me into boots this morning as they have got up to £5 off the product at the moment, I couldn’t believe it when she got FOUR yes! four Olay total effects and took them to the till and bought them. I then got two and the girl who served us asked what its like, so there we were two of us telling this assistant all about Oly Total Effects when another girl who works there came along and she wanted to know all about it. Then two of them were so interested we were in there for over half an hour and i was late getting back to work! I am being asked for samples by phone and e-mail now so i tell them sorry no more samples BUT>>>>>>>>>>>>the offer in Boots is still on and they say they will get there as soon as.

Had a phone conversation with my friend today who had previously used Olay 7 but had purchased another product. She thanked me for the sample and said using it again made her realise how good it is compared to the moisturiser she’d used recently. I reminded her of the voucher that I’d given her and confirmed that it was still valid. She was chuffed and said dhe was going to return to the product. A result! x

Feedback which is positive from one of my testers. Said that they had been using a competitor and they had to avoid the lip area as an accidental taste made them heave. Not so with my sample, however, and they are going to change to Olay.

I’ve shared my samples with friends and family.

My mother is already very happy with the results and says that her skin feels soft with wrinkles less visible.

I’m also very happy with the results – I find the cream produces a “soft focus” effect – making blemishes, shadows, wrinkles less visible and foundation optional rather than essential. However, if you rub the cream in too much it can rub off in little bits like bits of eraser on paper.

I have been talking about the product with family, friends, other mums at the toddler group I attend and even a couple of acquaintances. The majority have been interested in the product and most have taken a sample, a voucher or both. It is interesting to me how everyone trusts the Olay brand because it is long established and, in some cases, women in their family have been using it for generations. I think that has really helped people be receptive to my market researching with this product.

The feedback I have had has been mostly enthusiastic and positive. The worst I have had is people feeling indifferent or “blah” about the product, usually because they prefer some other product they have been using. But most people have found it works brilliantly on their skin and are really happy to have found a product that is effective yet affordable. A lot of people particularly like the fact it is fragrance free.

The weird thing is that I think everyone I have tested it on has been much more enthusiastic and positive about the product than I have been. I can definitely feel that my skin is smoother and more springy and it has definitely helped moisturise the dry patches I had from the winter winds. Luckily, despite being in my late 30s, I don’t have any lines or wrinkles (one of the few advantages of being a bit podgy perhaps) so I cannot comment on how effective the product is on that front. However, I really do have sensitive skin (which is why I was so keen to be part of this project in the first place) and I have had a tingling sensation some days when applying the cream that then seems to lead to an itchy sensation, especially along my jaw line and neck. I don’t get any blotchiness (other than from my scratching) or any sort of rash but the itchy sensation is not exactly welcome. I am persevering, however, for as long as my test bottle lasts me as I want to see if my skin can get used to it as I really do want to find a moisturiser that works for me.

I should be collecting a few more market research sheets back in a couple of days so will submit those and any conversation reports that arise from the same people giving feedback.

I have passed out all the samples at the office, and people are begging for more! The coupons are now gone too, which is a good sign!

The most often-heard comment thus far has been ‘light’, and we had an interesting chat about the greasy formulas out there on the market.

I have some people filling out the questionnaires now, so more to come.

Have handed out samples and vouchers to friends and family. Waiting for feedback.

I on the other hand love it – I have always been a great fan of Olay and absolutely love this sample. I will definately continue to buy Olay as part of my daily routine. Well done

I have still been passing out samples (and the vouchers), which everyone is keen to have. Several people have said that they would probably not have tried out Olay without the free sample, as it is seen as quite expensive and they don’t want to waste money on a full size one if it turned out they didn’t like it; so the samples are really appreciated.
I have had one friend come back and said that she could not feel much difference and, coincidence or not, she had 2 spots come up on her face, which is rare for her, so she has been put off.

have now given out all the samples & money-off coupons, its a popular product! With the variable weather we have been having everyone is interested in something that might be rich enough to protect from the cold, whilst offering an SPF for sunny days.

    by: Savvy Circle member jillypie

I have given all of the samples away now and the comments about the actual product have been positive, ranging from good to excellent. However, the cost of the product seems to be a drawback. One friend told me that at a time when she is being forced to cutback she cannot justify spending this amount on a skincare product even though she liked it a lot.

I have given all the vouchers away though and suggested that they compare prices in other stores.

Handed out more samples and vouchers at work. Girls do notice a difference with their skin.

Hi. So far my skin is starting to feel softer (only just in the last few days). However my skin is still blotchy in places. Hopefully this product will start to improve in this area. I still have some dry skin which is probably because of the weather. Will let you know once it warms up if this disappears.

I have also given samples to some work mates. One of the girls in her 20′s said she noticed red patches on her skin when she started to use it and has stopped. Another work mate who is 30, said the cream went on really smooth and her skin feels softer after 1 week.

All in all the feedback is a little mixed, but I am still keen to continue to use and hand out more samples.

Well into the survey now and my skin is feeling nice and soft and has a lovely feel during the day rather than drying out as they day goes by, which it used to do.
Spoke to a couple of the people I gave the samples to and one commented that her skin was softer than she can ever remember, the other thought her skin was better but hadn’t noticed a great deal of difference as yet, I suggested she use it both at the beginning of the day and again at the end to see if that makes a difference.
Feedback from the others I gave the samples to will come in later this week.

I’ve had a few forms back and some mixed feedback. Everyone has liked the feel and consistency of the product. Two of my testers have had an allergic reaction with redness on using it so have stopped.
For myself after two weeks of use I have had to return to using my normal night cream before bed as I’m not finding it rich enough for my very dry skin. Hope to get the rest fo my feedback forms in soon!

    by: Savvy Circle member MrsMouseface

Well…………. the wine and Olay night went well. All reports came back as VERY positive! All of the friends (5) I gave samples to have said that the cream is light-weight and so easy to apply. Not much is required to achieve a soft and smooth face.

All 5 friends have sensitive skin and one in particular has damaged skin due to over exposure to sunbeds (she no longer uses them after a huge telling off from me!) so thought that the cream was going to be a waste of time, she thought she wouldn’t see a difference and was totally amazed at the results she saw.

Her skin is brighter, less blotchy and much smoother than before. Her pores look smaller and her skin is much less flaky in the dry areas. She’s a fan of bronzing gels and said that the cream makes an excellent base for it.

All of the friends said that they will buy the full size product. Yippeeee!

I’m on my third week of testing the product and I’m still getting compliments on how fresh faced I look, my daughter has even said that I look younger too. Even without the bribe! ;)

Thank you SuperSavvyMe for letting me take part in this project and making my skin look like a million dollars. Wow!

I asked one friend who I had given a sample, money off coupon & review sheet for her review – she had forgotten to bring it – so I gave her the book and a pen and she wrote it there. She said however, that she thought it had not done much for her skin – pretty average.

A mother and daughter who had also tried the cream, said they were dancing around the house seeing whose skin looked softer ! I think they were pleased !

Personally, I have found the cream ok (especially neck) – but Liz Earle remains my favourite ! I am also concerned whether it does or does not contain animal ingredients cannot comit until I can be certain.

Another friend was very pleased with it, but apparently she used it only at night, and daytime only uses foundation. (I NEVER leave the house without moisturiser/SPF!!) although (ashamed to say) sometimes don’t do the nightcream.

I do think that the samples I have to give out are very small, too small to make a proper judgement of, and I feel embarrassed asking for reviews for such a tiny sample.

  • 20.02.12 - 14:49

    by: Savvy Circle member Dianic

Okay… I have been using my sample every day morning and night, since it arrived. I find it lovely and smoothing on my skin, although I use quite a bit more than I used before, of other moisturisers. I find it quite hard work to apply evenly without dragging across my skin, especially around the eye area. It feels good though and I really like it – however, I don’t think I like it enough to be able to justify the price.
I have given all my samples to girls at work – mostly part-timers on just above minimum wage. We’ll see what feedback they give me and whether they think they’ll be using the money-off vouchers.

  • 20.02.12 - 14:59

    by: Savvy Circle member SUE-MC

I cant say that after 2 weeks use that my skin feels a lot softer, I have had far more noticeable results from new Olay products in the past. This product seems to be absorbed into my skin really fast. I put this down at first to my skin maybe being too dry but after 2 weeks use I dont think this is the reason, it seems to be down to the formula. Ive given samples and coupons to friends and family. No wow factor feedback. Jackie (who I work with) applied it to a small area of her cheek immediately when i gave her a sample. She said she usually uses Clarins and was loath to change. Her instant feed back was it left her skin tacky and seemed to just sit on the top, quite the opposite to my experience. (She doesnt wear a foundation or any other skin make-up). I dont think she is impressed as the sample is still on her desk in her pencil holder.

  • 20.02.12 - 15:00

    by: Savvy Circle member annbridget

I have been using this for a couple of weeks now and I am still finding that I need to use quite a lot of the cream to moisturise my skin – at least two pumps. I am also finding that it is a little “thicker” than other moisturisers I have used but it does sink in and does feel as though it has created a barrier which I’m not sure I like the feel of. My skin feels soft but it stills feels very dry. One of my sisters has also commented that her skin feels dry. I have also had a couple of spots break out and I never get spots. I will continue to use the cream but doubt if it will last out to the end of the trial as I need to use so much.

  • 20.02.12 - 15:19

I have used this religiously and although can’t see much of a difference, my skin feels amazingly soft. One friend I’ve given a sample to, has INCREDIBLY sensitive skin. She tells me that although it’s too early to see a difference, unlike most creams that claim to ‘firm’ skin, this is the only one that hasn’t left her skin with the taut feeling she usually experiences. So all good!

i got the ultimate compliment in tesco! refused alcohol cos i looked so young-i’m 40 next year! the cashier couldnt believe it, so i gave her a sample ( my last) and a voucher so she could try it out herself!
my mum, a 40 year olay beauty fluid user, has been converted, she had a voucher and bought herself a bottle, couldnt believe how smooth and soft her skin feels using this.
moisturiser still feeling a little heavy to me but my skin loves it, unless i forget to use it, then i get a dry patch above my eyebrows, but i kept a sample for myself to keep on me for those mornings when im rushing out the door and prone to forget.
in all everyone ive given samples to is very impressed with this product, i just wish you did a lighter version (i’m used to using a gel cream so a cream feels quite rich to me)

spoke to someone at work today that I gave a sample to 2 weeks ago. She said there was enough to last a week and she will be using her voucher to buy more. She thinks its fantastic and its the best her skin has felt in a long time. She doesn’t normally use Olay as its too rich for her skin but said this one for sensitive skin was fine. She said it made her skin feel smoother after the second day. Noticed an advert in a magazine for Olay being on special offer until tomorrow at up to £5 off depending on size of pump

I have myself found a very good visible effect on my face after using this product and my skin feels moist and not dry as before. Both my sister and myself have used the OLAY beauty fluid in the past and were quite happy with it. Last week I introduced my sister to the new product and gave her a sample to try. This weekend I asked her for her opinions and as you can see from my photographs she chose the new OLAY TOTAL EFFECTS when asked which one did she think best suited her skin. She was very pleased with the money off coupon and could not wait to purchase her treat!

The trial is going well so far…which probably means I will be fine with the cream. If I’m going to react badly to a face cream I usually start to feel it in the first 2 weeks. My skin is feeling good. It’s nice to know there is an anti-aging cream designed specially for us sensitive skin types! Only had a few results back from the samples I’ve given out, but only had positive feedback so far….

At work today after the half term hols….I work in Construction and I did try and get some of the guys to take it and try it; they gave it to their wives!! the females at work have been good, they have filled out the Olay survey slips for me too. Not sure where I’m to put all the information. I have had mixed reviews. Some are really pleased with the feel of the moisturiser and that it sinks in quickly and does not leave you feeling sticky. and yet some are concerned that it sinks in too quickly. Some find it too thick and not light enough. They are all very happy that it protects your face from sun damage. The samples and yhe coupons went down really well. A few have actually been out and bought it. So thanks for letting me and my friends be part of your project Olay.

  • Posted a sample to my mum today. She had heard about the cream already through adverts and was very keen to try it. She says her skin needs all the help it can get in the winter and she’s long been a fan of Olay. Looking forward to getting her feedback once she’s tried the cream.

Have handed out nearly all my samples, and apart from myself and one of my friends everyone else’s reporting back to me has been very good. One friend said her face was hot and tingly next day so she has discontinued using it as I had to do myself. Every one else seems to have had very positive result, ( glowing skin, softer feeling, and brighter). I am quite dissappointed that it does not suit my own skin, as I feel I am missing out. .x

More “shopping” friends have been trying Olay. Unfortunately I have no photoes as I have done individual consultations. One lady thought the cream was too sticky and laid on her face. A young one did not notice any difference from her usual, cheaper cream (not therefore impressed). On the whole, the trial has gone well and I would say that half of the testers are willing to continue with Olay, at least with the discount voucher.

I have been using the product for 10 days and I’m loving it, I have even bought my 2nd bottle for when I run out, and Boots had it on offer which was great news. I have left my review of the product on Boots site and also added Olay page to my facebook.
The only disadvantage I have noticed is you can’t see how much you have left, so you don’t know when its going to run out.
I’m off for a meal at the weekend with different friends, so I will give out my last couple of samples for them to try.

I have handed out samples and money off vouchers at work today which were well received, the girls were impressed with the product especially the fact that it has spf15 which is a big factor with myself and colleagues when deciding which product to purchase. I have been using the product now for over 24 hours and my face is less dry and feels much softer. Loving the cream already.

I have had both positive and negative comments from friends. The negative came from a friend who has extremely dry and flaky skin and she found that it gave her little white spots initially. The others have all been really favourable – 2 have already bought their own bottle – unfortunately they forgot their vouchers!
Personally I have only positive remarks. I have always found my eye area to be the most affected by dryness and old age and have found it far more moist and ‘springy’ to touch. I have not noticed a difference in the dark shadows yet but that could be due to a few late nights.

But I have been using my cream morning and night and while during the day the skin around my nose if sore and dry, after my nightly application it is okay again in the morning. Big thumbs up from me……..

Back to work tomorrow to see how the girls have got on.

I also agree that a clearer bottle would be a good idea so you can see how much you have left….. wouldn’t want to get caught short. but wouldn’t stop me buying it.

So far so good with the girls at work – general feedback fom all is that it really soaks into the skin. Although I have noticed that I have to use less than I did at first. No spots as yet from the girls at work and mine are disappearing now thankfully. Mixed 50/50 reviews for Olay. My husbands skin is definately showing improvement, it feels and looks clear and is nice and soft however not noticed any difference to his crows feet yet! On the other hand the Olay has not agreed with my skin, my chin and cheeks felt rough and I came out in a rash/spots. I have therefore stopped using the Olay and have returned back to my normal moisturiser. Of the two samples given out to my neighbours, one is having good results the other is suffering much the same as myself.

I have given out some samples to work colleagues and my daughter so will pass on their comments shortly.

having been using this moisturiser for a few weeks now and I have very sensitive skin I must say I really like it. . I find it leaves my skin feeling nice and soft and It is easily absorbed into my skin, but I do have to use quite a bit of it.
I have given out samples and coupons to friends and family and I have had mostly positive feedback from them, majority of them saying they really like the product as it makes their skin feel soft and hydrated, and they love the fact of it containing the spf 15.
A couple friends said they felt they needed to use quite a lot of it to moisturise their skin, but they do tend to have dry skin.
Over all comments were very positive with quite a few of them saying they would purchase.

I presonally like it, I get very sensitive skin during the winter and it hadn’t made it worse, it has taken down the redness and seems to be protecting my skin from the elements.

My son’s girlfiends mother thanked me for the sample that I gave her and then rang me to say can she have a voucher to buy it as she liked the texture of the cream. My son isn’t happy as he thinks I am becoming to friendly with other side now.

I was really pleased with the moisturing effect for the first week but now I have dry skin on my forehead and dry patches on my cheeks. Will keep using product in the morning but will switch back to my Lancome night cream. Two of the people I gave the samples to have also found that their skin feel dry especially first thing in the morning.

2 weeks in and I love the feel of the product. Find it is very easily absorbed – all most too easily and so not sure how long the 30ml will last as have to apply once and then again straight after. Also had an out break of spots this week…. eeeek…!!! I have given out my samples so waiting for feedback. Will keep using and hope that the spots are just a minor blip!!

Well no sooner had the sample arrived when my grandma was rushed into hospital so weeks later when she has improved immensely I can think about myself. I have just got started with the olay. Usually any new cream makes my face feel tight but this one feels as though its nourishing me so, so far so good.

Handed out most of my samples at work last week. Everyone was keen to try it and promised to let me know how they get on. I’ve been using it for nearly two weeks now and love the way it is absorbed so easily and doesn’t feel at all sticky on my face. Had a few spots initially but they seem to have settled down now. Hoping the wrinkles will start to disappear soon!!

Have not written an online review yet want to wait for another week to see how my skin improves with the new product. Have now given all my samples and vouchers out, although some people are a bit frustrated that the vouchers can only be used in Tesco’s in-store and some don’t have a big Tesco supermarket near them so it would mean travelling a long distance to get the new olay moisturiser. They wish and myself including that their could have been a code on the voucher or an option to redeem it online at tesco’s as my friends do a lot of their food shopping online as i do too especially if a particular store is not within easy distance and this could be easily added to their basket.

Have been using this myself for a while, and like a few others, I’ve had a spot or two (competing with my teenage sons now).
On the whole, I do like it, but as I work in a very hot office, I find that I need to re-apply during the day. Luckily, no one notices as I can do it behind my PC :0)
Would like the option of one for much drier skin.

One comment today for a young lad at work who was keen to try this….
“Like that stuff you gave me the other day. My girlfriend’s noticed an improvement, so I’ve asked her to pop into Tesco and buy me some…along with some beer, and told her she’s not allowed to use it!”

The Total Effects I took that to mean, not the beer. High praise indeed.

  • Texted my 4 sisters-in-law and they’re all keen to try it…

Just love this product been using it now for over 2 weeks and it just gets better.Wish the price was cheaper as a friend of mine always uses Olay products and she always recommends them but I can never afford to buy them,This is the same ,a great product but expensive.Well it is for me.Anyhow talking to this friend a I have given her a sample of this product and she loves it and with the money off voucher she say she is definately going to buy a full size one.My Mum used to use the original Oil of Ulay and she always said how lovely and soft her skin felt and when she gave me a cuddle it was one of the things I remember about her, her lovely soft skin.Miss her so much.Treasure your Mums.

& the facts so far is that Olay is making our skin look /feel so much better.

I am loving the fact that my skin actually absorbs it and it feels light and disappears.

I have found I cannot use most moisturisers on my face as I find they feel heavy and then my skin start to become excessively oily excretes the moisturisers.

I have not had this so far, ‘Total Effects’ is compatable with my face and has an almost drying ‘corrective nature’ to my T-bar

Met some Mums today who I handed samples to before the half term break and they all say the same- where can I buy it? I gave them a voucher each but last time I was in our local Tesco I looked for the product but it wasn’t there so hopefully they should have some in soon. I am still using the product and after 3 weeks I can see a difference – my pores look smaller so my skin looks smoother.

Had a girls night and discussed how my friends had found the product. All agreed it really is a luxurious product however amongst these comments a few of my friends did mention that they may not purchase it due to the price even with the coupon it is out of their price range for a moisturiser. Which i would have to say i agree with. I suppose it depends on your budget. On the other hand the feedbck from family members and work collegues has been that they will be purchasing it using the voucher.

Olay continues to grow in positive comments even with the outbreak of spots! Price discussions came up but with the coupon and pricing of comparable products this is not a issue. People have expressed opinions on the colour, texture, and feel of the product but most of these have been extremely positive.

I agree with comment above (spudlet I think) where it would be good to have a see through window bit so we can tell when its getting finished. Im finding a lovely cream to use as it is not greasy and I can put my makeup on pretty much straight after using it. However i dont find it heavy duty enough as a night cream or in the cold weather and Im having to top up during the day which is not great. It smells nice and my skin feels great immediatley after use but it just doesnt last long enough for dry skin or harsh weather conditions

Ok, just discovered this on Sunday when I took my two nieces to the swimming, came out the chlorine filled pool, showered afterwards and got dressed. my face was really itchy, I realised I’d forgot to pack my Olay Total Effects along with my towel, shampoo, condiotioner etc before heading to the swimming pool.

It took me about half an hour to drive myself home and as soon as I got in the door I went straight for my Olay, my skin soaked it right up and my skin irritation died down in minutes. yip minutes.!! I love Olay, it does everything it claims and more.

I posted this on facebook for my friends and fellow testers…which are growing in numbers weekly. I know that it’s designed for sensitive skin but I never realised that it actually stopped skin irritation until after my swimming session. Honestly can’t praise Olay enough, 2hours in a chlorine filled swimming pool, red and itchy skin….applied my Olay Total Effects and like magic I got my glow back.

  • 23.02.12 - 14:12

    by: Savvy Circle member pinksunshine

I get the majority of my feedback on Olay through social networking, I posted on my facebook page when I was first accepted for the project and extremely excited, all my friends who I gave samples too are also on facebook, so we started posting about the results, this created quite a stir amongst my other friends, some friends went out and bought it for themselves after reading all our good feedback and then joined in with our posts, Olay was a real hot topic, I’ve found social networking to be an excellent way to collect feedback. Obviously I chat to friends and family in person and on the phone but I find by far I reach more people on the internet. I was pleasantly surprised how many people have bought Olay as a result of me and my fellow testers chatting online and comparing notes, I’ve had over 20 facebook friends buy it as a result… RESULT.!

My 14 year old niece is using a sample, so I agree about the product being a hit with teenagers.
Feedback received so far has been positive.
I spent a lot of time outdoors on the coast over half term, exposing my skin to the elements and the sea air. Using my sample I am finding my skin softer, and do not get the burning sensation after applying that I have had with other moistursers. I did find my skin still quite tight though, and he product seemed greasier than it did when I first started using it. I am not keen on the smell though.

My friend will get my voucher so she’ll be happy!

I’ve sent most of the samples and form out by post as most of my friends are in London and the North and we live in Wales.

So far, responses have been middling to fairly good. Trialing the product myself, I have to say that I can see no difference between this and other anti-ageing creams and lotions.

I do have very sensitive skin and this product lives up to that particular claim as I have had no adverse reactions to it and my skin is certainly feeling soft and it’s keeping dryness at bay.

It hasn’t had much effect on lines which are already fairly minimal for my age (64). I want a product that gets rid of bags under the eyes, that’s my No 1 priority and I certainly wouldn’t ever consider surgery or products like botox! A new quest for Olay?

Now we are back at work after a nice half term break I have had the opportunity to discuss the product with my ‘testers’. Suz who I share my office with is in her early fifties and has a daily skin care routine. She found after a couple of days applying the lotion she had ‘puffy eyes’ and dry skin so she decided to give it a break and try again a couple of days later. Unfortunately the same thing happened, much to her disappointment! The product is alot cheaper than the cream she uses at the moment.

  • 26.02.12 - 16:53

Another colleague and a completely different opinion! Jan who is in her late 40s and never used a skin care routine has found the Olay sample brilliant – her comments included ‘far softer and smoother skin’ and ‘very well moisturised, I would certainly buy a bottle.’

After first using Ilay Total Effects Sensitive I was over the moonregarding texture, how my skin felt straightaway. But after using it for couple of weeks I’m not as impressed. I will be going to my old moisturiser now. I handedout samples in the A5 brown envelopes because these are the ones I had. I definitely didn’t look very impressive but at least tidy. I do agree It would be good if we had a little Olay envelope.

Ideas for handing out samples: I am handing out samples at two evening classes, some tonight and some tomorrow . The people there will be willing to try something as they have know me for some time, and I get to see them every week so they will be telling me regularly what they think.

have handed out samples to one of my friends, and two of her daughters. Also given to one of my sisters and two of her daughters. Two colleagues ahve expressed interest while we chatted about this, and will be taking saples to them today. That leaves me with two, and I think my two daughters are going to be the lucky recipients. Done and dusted.

I know its for sensitive skin and its perfume free, but we all miss the olay fragrance, one of the first things my friends have done is rub a bit into their hands and then sniff it!!!

I have given samples to my mum, sister, mother in law and several friends. I’m personally enjoying using the cream and I think it has a nice silky texture.

I teach at the local Primary school where the work-force is mainly made up of women. At break time I showed my spoils to the ladies. Honestly they are more excitable than the children! I gave each of them a sample to try.
They were surprised at how easily the cream was absorbed into the skin.
A couple of my colleagues revealed that they already use the product. I must say ,looking at their skin. that this is testament to how good it works.
I gave them all a voucher to use on their next purchase.

Had feedback from a couple of my friends and so far it’s good. One lady said she would prefer it to have a fragrance but the other didn’t mind.

Is anyone else experiencing a prejudice against Olay by younger women? My experience is that girls in their 20s just think that Olay is for the older women ( . . .and I’m only in my 40s!). I can remember Oil of Ulay being around when I was a little girl but I don’t consider it to be just for “oldies”! In fact I think that Olay has really kept abreast of the times and this is shown in its packaging and branding and should appeal to all ages.

Just spotted the comments above about the lack of fragrance – I have to say I agree. It would be nice to have the reassuring presence of the Olay fragrance – or is that not possible for a sensitive product?

just had some lovely feedback from a colleague at work – said she loved the cream and happily filled in the survey form. Then she asked if she could have another sample as it would be perfect for her holidays. Samples all gone so she took a tesco voucher and is off Tesco this afternoon to buy some. Hope they have got it in stock!!!

Met some friends up for a ladies lunch today, after giving them a sample last week to try…. some really positive feed back. Five out of Six ladies said that the appearance of the skin had noticably improved, with one lady saying that her neighbour had complemented her 24 hours after using the product!. Six out of six ladies said the product melted perfectly in to the skin without any greasy residue and four out of six ladies had passed comment that they needed less foundation and that their make up did not slide… one in particular had mentioned that it had doubled up as a makeup primer. All gave the product a huge thumbs up!

I spoke to several colleagues at work about the project – two have already provided me with their completed research sheet that I have uploaded.

Two colleagues are midway with their sample so am looking out for their feedback.

One colleague declined the sample citing an allergy to Olay products from a previous trial.

I have been using the product for nearly two weeks now and find that it is a bit dry for my skin so I supplement it with a radiant boosting cream to make it more moisturising.

My skin has had a couple of spot outbreaks recently but that could be from the time of month. Other than that it’s still feeling good although there are sometimes dry patches.

Not sure if anyone’s seen the Olay offer in Sainsburys but Olay Sensitive is £11.56 at the moment.

All Olay on offer excluding Beauty Fluid and wipes….

I like the way my foundation goes on after the Olay. Or it could be my skin is looking better generally. I’ve been Olaying for more than 2 weeks now.

Just noticed the comments above about lack of fragrance. That’s a plus point for me. For me It makes it seem more natural without a strong perfume.

I’ve handed out more than half of the samples now and my friends are happy with them. Everyone was very keen to see how the product would work for them. Most ladies that have given me the report sheets back seem to be impressed with the new Olay.

@LadyDeeJay: Fab! Unfortunately we could only get 10 per participant this time round, but we’ll try to pressure the brands to give us more on future projects. :) Thanks for being a great member of our project team!

Now that we are half wayish through I once again cornered my guinea pigs at work regarding their samples of Olay! 3 of them have reverted back to their previous moisturisers as they found that ….1… felt it was not as good as the one she is using…No.2…she has very dry skin and she found that she did not get the moisturisation she needed and No.3 was told by her daughter she looked worse since she started using Olay!! 2 more girls have grabbed the money off vouchers as they liked it but are not sure they would buy again.

I have now given out most of the samples and havent had any bad responses back. every one was happy to try the sample. I have used my product up and bought a couple in Tesco which I am using now. they were £9.32 and then with the coupon £6.32. a good price.

Great news!! I went to buy more Olay sensitive today and use my voucher – only to discover it’s on special offer, so with the project voucher it is less than £7!!! I bought 2!!! I really love it and am even more delighted with my bargain. Happy shopping ladies!

i’ve spoken to my work mates at both my jobs and family and friends. my pc went down for a few weeks so only just managed to get on here to report back. getting lots of interest when i get out my bag of goodies though.

I try to have the samples and coupons in my handbag so that when I can get Olay into the conversation I can produce the goodies. Market research forms a bit harder to fit in my bag – perhaps a smaller double sided book in future to make it easier to carry? The feedback I have had has been mostly positive.

Skin still feeling good, blemishes gone and so have the dry patches. I can still feel it on my skin from when I applied it at 7:30am today.

The bottle is feeling very light and I think I will run out of the Olay soon :-(

I have started to get some feed back from them but the main prob thy have all said is the bottles are to sml and they would like to try some more.

    Hi team,
I unfortunately have had to stop using the olay sensitive moisturiser as the weather has warmed up a bit my skin type has changed and this now feels far too rich for me and heavy, I will definately go back to using it when the colder weather starts again as I found it to be brilliant defence from the harshness of winter, as for the feedback I have had from others gave my mum a sample and she likes it her skin looks plumper and softer too which is fab.

  • 12.03.12 - 11:42

    by: Savvy Circle member siobhan1

Still not sure about the way the cream makes my skin feel, I am finding it a little heavy. Overall I prefer the olay fluid, which is light and sinks into my skin well.

Used all of my Olay up on the 1st March, didn’t see that coming! Due to the design of the bottle I couldn’t even tell that I was near the end of it. It didn’t seem to last that long, I used 2 pumps a day, once a day.
Having now had to go back to my old moisturiser I’ve realised that actually the Olay is better than I first thought. It absorbs better (although I did get a dry patch of skin when the weather was particularily cold) Less shiny on my face, and it did go quite some way to reducing pore size. I think that I will have to invest in some more :)

After just over 2 weeks, I finally had to give up and stop using Olay sensitive. It gave me dry skin around my nose and forehead. I found all my testers with sensitive skin couldn’t use this product even though some of them used the normal Olay products. General opinion was that it wasn’t very moisturising which i would agree with. Final verdict in my opinion is – Olay has a great range of products and i absolutely love their 3 point range but this product just doesn’t come up to scratch and doesn’t seem to enhance senstitive skin.

With almost 10 days to go I have almost ran out :-( , think its a wonderful product and will defiantly buying it when I have ran out. The only complaint I have is that I still have to use quite a lot (more than 1 pump) so it hasn’t lasting as long as I thought. My pores seemed to have reduced in size and my skin tone a lot smoother & overall I am extremely happy with Olay’s new product, I have enjoyed testing it and will be spreading the word :-)
