After two and a half months on our Max Factor – and very first – Savvy Circle Project we have finally come to the end.
With 10 weeks behind us, as well as literally thousands of conversation reports, research sheets, photos and comments on our project blog, what better time to take one last look back at the project’s highlights?
Over the 10 weeks we have…
Written… and published our own product reviews.
Not only have we seen lots of reviews appear on personal blogs and various product review platforms, but we’ve also seen lots and lots of reviews from members of our project team be published on Boots.com – fantastic work!
Discussed… how best to apply our new foundation.
One conclusion we have realised from our project is that less certainly is more with Ageless Elixir 2in1 Foundation + Serum.

Given tips… about where best to spread the word.
Whether it was in Boots while browsing the foundation shelves, or simply while out and about with friends, we shared lots of tips for the best places to spread the word about the foundation.
Read… our make-up artist’s tips for looking great.
Max Factor’s award-winning make-up artist, Caroline Barnes, gave us some brilliant tips for looking great in our thirties, forties and fifties, while we also had plenty more tips offered by members of our project team simply by leaving a comment on the blog.
Handed out… samples to friends and family.
The 18 mini samples included in our starter kits meant that we were able to surprise our friends and relatives with a sample and a money-off coupon. Who did you hand yours out to?
And last of all…
From me personally a huge thank you for your hard work, reports, photos and enthusiasm on our project blog. It’s been great fun on our first Savvy Circle project together! Until next time…

In the course of this project, many of us have found ourselves talking to people we wouldn’t normally have a reason to speak with; it turns out that Ageless Elixir is a great conversation starter!
There’s something about free make-up that just attracts people. Lots of us have been reporting that not only have our friends and relatives been excited to test the new Max Factor Ageless Elixir – along the way, we’ve met strangers who are also interested in trying it out. And sometimes those strangers have become friends!

Who’ve you met while spreading the word about the Ageless Elixir foundation?
When two women sat down at a table in a full coffee shop with her, Savvy Circle member Milton took the chance to spread the word:
…We started chatting. They were having a “girls me day” at the shops. They were looking to investigate new cosmetics. My ears twitched!! So many products out there they said….and our skin just needs something extra [...]
She told the women about the Ageless Elixir 2in1 Foundation + Serum by Max Factor, and it worked like a charm! After passing on samples and money-off coupons, she not only ran into the women trying on different colours of the Ageless Elixir in Boots later, but they also emailed her to tell her how much they’d liked it:
[...] and guess what! The three of us will meet up again at the coffee shop.. this time by arrangement.
I’m sure that Savvy Circle member Milton isn’t the only one to have made friends throughout the course of our project, so let’s share our experiences below as we approach the end of our maiden Savvy Circle project together.
@all – What sort of doors has the Ageless Elixir project opened for you? Have you chatted with a stranger about your fab new foundation?
Having had a good two months of testing we’ve received lots of conversation reports and emails from members of our project team saying they are now converts to Max Factor.
Whether it is the product being a two-in-one, or simply the excellent coverage of the foundation, it seems plenty of us have been impressed enough to stick with it following our project, which has just a few days left to run.

Thank you to Savvy Circle member LEESACEE for the artistic snap!
If you’ve been so impressed that you’d love to continue using Ageless Elixir 2in1 Foundation + Serum after our project then why not head down to Boots with your money-off coupons now to stock up? (Don’t forget you can currently get a free gift – Max Factor Lasting Lip Tint – from Boots if you buy Ageless Elixir, which makes it even better value!)
Must say girls that after 4 weeks I am a convert, I was using a tinted moisturiser most days as I hated how my face felt with make up on, but I love my new look, it’s easy to apply, good colour match for my skin, and I feel made up with the feeling of make-up. I love it. Savvy Circle member Bobcat
I provided some samples to my mum who is in her 70′s and she loves it! The make-up is easy to apply and she loved the natural colour. This is a defo for her to which I have to agree it makes her much younger-looking. Defo converted! Savvy Circle member Jasmine1997
I am sure friends and family think l am working for Max Factor, but can honestly say l am a convert. Have given out all samples and vouchers to neighbours, family, friends and even a checkout lady that l chat to at local supermarket. Savvy Circle member sassylassy
@all: Are you a Max Factor convert? How impressed have you been on the whole with the Ageless Elixir foundation?
Over the last eight weeks of our Max Factor project we’ve seen not just thousands of conversation reports and hundreds of photos come in, but lots of examples of online reviews by our project team!
Whether on personal blogs, at Boots.com, over Facebook or on one of the many online review sites such as Ciao and Dooyoo, loads of us have taken the opportunity to leave a review and tell others about the foundation and our experiences with it.

I’ve been using this foundation for around a month now and am definitely converted. It has a lovely consistency and texture and gives a very natural looking finish, yet is great at covering blemishes and fine lines. It has a lovely subtle fragrance and a little goes a long way so for the price it’s a great value, high quality product. I’ve recommended this to several friends and family now, I’ve tried many foundations but this one really does come out top. Savvy Circle member the_hell_of_it_all

This foundation is new, it is a 2-in-1. As well as having foundation it contains serum. This is SPF 15 also. It is claimed to reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles instantly. Also it claims to help against the signs of ageing. These are bold claims to make, so it was only right I tried it. […] Overall I was very impressed with the product and will be buying again. Savvy Circle member Tamzen
If you’re still to write an online review outside of the Savvy Circle then take two minutes to do so now – the more reviews we can produce online, the more delighted the Max Factor team will be at the end of our project!
@all: Do you use online review platforms before making a purchase? Let us know your thoughts below!
After using Ageless Elixir intensively for the past eight weeks we have all become real Max Factor experts!
In our project we’ve all used the 2in1 foundation + serum in a range of situations and with various people, as well as shared lots of tips and tricks for make-up and skincare – meaning we’ve got lots to report about!

In the project handbook we already provided you with a message to spread, but you no doubt have your own fantastic ideas and suggestions to spread the word about Max Factor’s Ageless Elixir 2in1 Foundation + Serum among your friends and families.
@all: What’s the key message you’d use to sum up what you like about the foundation? Be creative with your ideas and share them below!
As you may have read in your project handbook, the shade palate of Ageless Elixir by Max Factor has been designed to offer a closer representation of your skin tones.
Prior to this project we all had the chance to select the one shade we felt would suit our skin tone the best, be it the Light Ivory shade for pale-skinned women, or the Bronze one for those of us whose skin is darker.
This was coupled with 18 mini samples of the Natural shade 50 to hand out to family and friends – the most popular shade from the range which is suitable for most people.

Savvy Circle member AJredgirl’s office friends are happy with their samples…
We love reading all of your feedback, and even more so when it is like that from our two members below:
I love the smell and the mousse like texture – it just glides on and gives excellent natural coverage. It also blends brilliantly and the Natural colour is perfect for me. Savvy Circle member Ditsy
[...] I can see an ongoing improvement in my skin, not experienced that before with a foundation. The colour (natural) suits my skin perfectly and I like the fragrance of the product also. [...] Savvy Circle member pollyann
There is one question that has cropped up a few times though, relating to the shades and suitability for our various skin tones:
What should I do if, despite the fact that I love the foundation, the shade is slightly off and doesn’t quite match my skin tone?
We’d definitely recommend heading down to Boots to check out all of the six different shades there. We know it’s not perfect to have to choose the shade going off our diagram in the project handbook, but are delighted that so many members of the project team have given so much positive feedback, even if the shade hasn’t matched 100%. Head on down to Boots, check out the shades, use your money off coupon and report back to let us know the results!
@all: What did you make of the shade you requested? What is your opinion on the six shades in the Ageless Elixir 2in1 Foundation + Serum collection?
We’ve been absolutely overwhelmed at the project team’s response to our first two Savvy Circle projects. Thanks for your fantastic work so far!
Your feedback has been passed on to Max Factor on a weekly basis and the team there are delighted with all of the conversation reports, blog comments, market research sheets and photos that have been sent in.
As a result it has been decided to extend our eight-week project by a further two weeks, meaning we now have until 04 November to keep spreading the word and sending in feedback so that we can continue delighting the brand in our maiden Savvy Circle project!
Keep your conversation reports coming in, and remember to keep checking the blog on a daily basis to join in with the various topics we’ll be discussing.

By now we probably all know that the new Ageless Elixir 2in1 Foundation + Serum from Max Factor doesn’t just instantly reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
The added serum also helps to simultaneously protect the skin against signs of ageing due to its SPF 15, meaning it’s a fantastic combination of make-up and skincare for your daily routine.
We’d love to know how you feel about the product being a “two in one” and whether it’s convinced you to stick with it after the end of our project!

Thank you, Savvy Circle member MamaDiva, for the photo above!
Let’s see what some of our fellow testers think of the foundation with the added serum…
I think the combination of my moisturiser and the serum works well with my skin and I have had numerous comments recently how my “glowing” skin. This is a really welcome boost, as I was beginning to feel that my skin was changing due to the effects of the menopause. Savvy Circle member Jules62
I have given out samples to several friends and my two daughters, the feedback has been very positive all have liked the combination of serum and foundation. Savvy Circle member tobyjug2nd
I’ve been wearing it for a couple of weeks now and I really like it. I also like the fact that it’s got the serum…At least I’m doing something to fight the signs of ageing! Savvy Circle member becca1234
@all: Let us know your opinion on Ageless Elixir being a two-in-one make-up and skincare product by leaving a comment below!
We’ve been hearing a lot lately that Ageless Elixir 2in1 Foundation + Serum from Max Factor stays put for a long time, whether it’s when you’re on a night out with the girls, at a dinner party or just as part of your daily make-up routine.
If you’re one of those women who often ‘tops up’ her make up on a night out then we’d love to hear how long your Ageless Elixir lasted before you felt the urge to re-apply it.
And if you’ve used the foundation when out and about we’d absolutely love to see your photos! Who doesn’t love snapping away on an evening or night out? Let’s keep adding to our gallery to collect as many photos as possible during the last few weeks of our project!

Savvy Circle member redcadence used her foundation for the Pride of Britain Awards
Let’s hear what our fellow testers think about the staying power of new Ageless Elixir 2in1 Foundation + Serum from Max Factor:
Savvy Circle member Teeka was impressed with its staying power on a night out…
I took a sample one with me on a mini break abroad, don’t usually use foundation when on hols as I find it too heavy in the heat. This one went on lovely and I didn’t feel like I was wearing it, I also found it lasted all night even after a late one!
… while Savvy Circle member AdelleB says it lasts all throughout the working day, and more!
[...] once its blended in its absolutely fantastic and lasts for ages, certainly throughout my working day and into the night – I absolutely love this product.
So, the question is: When did you use Max Factor and how impressed were you with its staying power?
@all: Send us your photos by clicking the “Write a report” button on the right hand side of this page, and leave your comments below!
You’ve got a handful of mini samples, are armed with a booklet of money off coupons and have enough insider information to convince anybody that Ageless Elixir is ideal the foundation for them.
So what’s the best way to spread the word about the foundation, and where have you been speaking about the product – at home, at a meet up with friends or perhaps down the foundation aisle at Boots or in the supermarket?
Savvy Circle member nicnak used her water polo tournament as a great opportunity to get the word out there about Ageless Elixir:

Last weekend I went away for a Water Polo tournament in Hucknall. There are 13 girls in the squad so I was able to tell them all about the product. I handed out a few samples and some people tried it out for our night out on the Saturday. Savvy Circle member nicnak
Another fantastic idea to spread the word is to talk to people of different ages and professions, who in turn can pass on the information you tell them to friends of their own. Our fellow project team member, Savvy Circle member curlykate, has been very busy handing out her Max Factor samples!
[...] I gave some to my Mum, who is in her early 70′s, and she’s raving about the foundation so is telling and sampling all her friends; I gave some to my nail technician who is her late 30′s, and she loves it and is talking it up with her clients; I gave some to my hairdresser who is in her mid-20′s and a big Max Factor fan, and she loves it and is going to recommend it to her customers; and finally I’ve given some out to my staff at work. [...] Savvy Circle member curlykate
I am sure there have been even more great examples of handing out samples and spreading the word about Ageless Elixir 2in1 Foundation + Serum by Max Factor – keep it up!
